Having seen Bobby R getting a special award on BBC Sports Personality tonight, and how frail he was (he linked Sir Alex who carried his award), one has to wonder what impact if any did he make on the team. It was a really bizarre appointment: an obviously old and sick man and a novice.
The award itself was obviously a last hurrah for him. Sad and moving.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Delaney should get a "Muppet of the Year Award" for the appointment...what a fool.

He took ill at Portman Road after he was appointed, in the weeks before Stuttgart I think. I think he was in good health when he took on the job.
