I'd imagine (hope?) he'll be involved in the recruitment process for the new manager, but I do wonder what his opinion of the FAI, and Delaney in particular, is after all of this. There's a shortage of personnel of a technical nature at international level. The Under 21's have an away game in Montenegro which will be handled by the assistant Under 21 Manager, while the Under 21 Manager will be in a caretaker capacity with the Senior International team in Cardiff. I think Bobby Robson might be an extra pair of hands with the seniors so to speak. And he was deciding to review his own position at the end of the campaign it would have been silly to let him go at this stage as he may prove useful in preparations for the game against Wales.
