    Transfer news

First pre-season of the season signing concerning UCD - Alan Cawley from Waterford to Bray.

On a proper note, the club have noted that as yet (or as of the end of last week, when I meant to post this), there'd been no confirmed movements one way or the other. I presume we're going to wait until Monday's announcement before planning for next season.

I'm just wondering again, what's the situation with Gally? I assume we're losing Quigley now so I wonder if Gally will be brought back in and is he interested? He never seemed to get much of a look in at Dundalk either.

Robbie Mac released by Dundalk. Dundalk fans surprised in the main, it appears.

He would be a great signing for you, like i said in the main forum he has been excelent this season and most Dundalk fans are sad to see him go. As for his throw ins, he can throw the ball further and harder then most people can kick it!

I assume there must have been some falling out been Robbie and the club. Either he disappointed them with his comeback efforts or he disliked something there. It's bizarre he left like that and signed for Dundalk shortly after. I doubt we'll see him back at Belfield.

His long throws weren't missed in 2005 with Anto Murphy.

We don't have Anto Murphy anymore either Poor Student. And Robbie spent almost an entire campaign out injured in 2005.

I'm aware or both, neither of which change the veracity or point of my post.

Well unless his contract is up he is at the moment a UCD player as he was only on a season long loan.

Someone posted in our part of the forum that Kildare management had approached him but nothing has been announced so not sure how true that was. Certainly won't mind if County did sign him, We could do with a bit more eircom league experience up front.

Nah. He's past it, I think. One goal all season for Bohs or something? (Against us... )

He was still scoring regularly before he went to Bohs. I'd say it was Bohs that fecked him last year. He would also be the experienced player that Pete wanted to bring in, also in a position where we are weakest, although it does look promising with Sammon, Moran and Forsyth.

In the Irish League though. The bottom half of that league is First Division standard.

In his last season at Portadown he had lost his first team place. His wages up North were reported to be astronomical by even eL standards.

I'd say it was being 58 or whatever age he is that fecked him. We can do better.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
