The Dundalk fans are a good bunch... they love their team and the game. Yeah there were a few gob****es at the game on Saturday but look at how many other decent Dundalk fans were there. We've had a few clowns travel with the Rams in the past... every team has them and the better a team does the more these gob****es appear.
Dundalk fans are always welcome in my book... no offense but hopefully we won't be playing ye again this year
    C'mon the rams

Well said, it happens in every club. Got to say though that the Ramblers Supporters were excellant, what an athmosphere! The guys who brought in the drums, class. Non stop singing, after the game against Shels we have Monaghan at home on Nov 3rd, can we have the same again. Well done lads.

    Idea (lightbuld)

For the Mon's match, why don't Ramblers offer everyone a small discount on entry if they're wearing their colours. Wouldn't have to be a massive discount but as it's last home game then why not. Just a thought...............

Erm!! First I heard of Glentoran doing it to be honest. I actually saw it on the official Irish League site though

Doesn't Galway do this? AFAIK the place is awash with kids running riot around the ground, showing no interest in games and proving more of an annoyance than a help.
Saying that, we have had a few youth groups in for free, well supervised and they have come back every game since with larger and larger numbers. We have also had new numbers joining the singing crew of late, all around 15/16, well behaved and helps create a much better atmosphere.
So many complaints against though, the best idea is approach schools/youth clubs, etc and offer dicount or free tickets that way.

fair point sam, our promotions officer is doing a lot of what you have suggested already with schools, clubs, special needs groups etc. the leave them in for nothing idea would make the club a creche for the afternoon

surely u mean that season tkt holders should be allowed bring a friend for free?

i think this should be encouraged becasue i know a few people that if i brought them they'd come back without doubt but its just getting them in the gate first which is hard plus i know that the person id bring in with me would spend money in be before and after..

    but wait it'll never happen

GUFC let all U-12's accompanied by an adult in for free not U-16's.

In fairness to alot of the 15-17 year olds who go to the game are there because they want to watch the match.
It's a minority of scangers and plonkers that cause a bit of agro.

thats a good idea marco..will get a lot of colour into the stadium...the flags were a big hit with the fans on the new stand...also i'v heard a lot of people talking about buying scarves to swing around over our heads like the celtic and liverpool fans....i think the end of the season has come too soon i think this is the greatest ever season ramblers have ever gone through with the new stands, new fans and the way ramblers is now the talk of the town.....
