Bury, Chesterfield, Stockport
I'm off to Manchester in the morning with a couple of others and we are thinking of taking in a game while over there. I'm just wondering if any of you know what teams are at home from the the following list which are no more than an hour and a half away travelling by train from Manchester (I haven't got a clue). We're not interested in going to a Premiership game and would like to go to a game in any of the other divisions below that, cheers

Bury, Chesterfield, Stockport
add Stoke, Blackpool, Rochdale all easily done in less than an hour from Mcr. Or the most local, Altrincham which is in Manchester (5 miles or so from Old Trafford)
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

Huddersfield v Oldham would be a good game to go to. Derby and Lancs V Yorkshire clashes are always interesting.
If you'd like to watch a Conference game, Droylsden is just outside of the city. Not very far at all, maybe 20 mins from Manchester train station. Alty is close by too.
Went there once for a pre-season friendly and there was a nice atmosphere about the place, and the food was great, football wasn't the best though.

Cheers for the replies lads. We decided to go to Stoke -V- Wednesday, only 40 mins on the train from Manchester station, cost £10 return. Tickets were £26. Poor crowd, only about 14,000 turned up but it was a cracking game with Wednesday winning 4-2.
