He'd have to play in the league in the first place to 'return' to it.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

Overall I would prefer Sakho myself. Football is all about opinions though.

I think it's all about results. Opinions only really arise when the results aren't what they should be.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Supporters have differing opinions on all aspects of football from players to managers and so on.

I think McShane has done more than enough to earn a contract at a PL team.

He only had one "dodgy" moment against Utd and that was because Brady had gone asleep. He's well up to the challenge of playing against players the caliber of Wayne Rooney.

Linked with Reading as a replacement for Alex Pearce. Age profile aside, I think Reading might be the biggest winners in this little merry-go-round.

No surprise that Ipswich are one of the teams linked with McShane.

Says he was released from Hull by phone - doesn't seem to have any love at all for Steve Bruce. Also interesting he's doing his coaching badges:

Hard worker but sadly just doesn't have enough God given talent to be anything more than a bench warmer in the Premiership in my opinion. He'd do well to get on with Reading and nail down a starting place, they might get promoted this season.

If he was a bit bigger or a bit faster then maybe…… Certainly a bit bigger would be handy for a centre back.

It amazes me how good the Italian Cannavaro was considering he didn't look very big. Certainly all small centre backs should study Cannavaro.

Mascherano sort of plays that role for Barcelona. I suppose it just goes to show how much football has changed.

I saw a lot of McShane this season for Hull, especially towards the end of the season and I have to say I was immensely impressed with McShanes performances. I was one of the people on here who saw red at the very mention of him in an Irish shirt but he has won me over greatly over the last couple of seasons. He is all heart and can actually play a bit too. He is prone to lapses in concentration but definitely not to the same extent as his early years. I think he would do a good job at the back for a team like Leicester or Palace. I like him.

(it feels so weird that I have changed my opinion on him)

Looks like Reading is turning Irish again. Even with Pearce gone, they've got all of McShane, Stephen Kelly, Pierce Sweeney, Sean Long and Niall Keown in defence there.

Fellaini apologizes to Van Gaal for leaving gaping holes in McShane's leg.

    http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/fe...-31396800.html

Marouane has got to realize that he is meant to be a professional. He has got to realize that his well-being is not in his own hands when he is on the football pitch. He is putting his body on the line. There is an unwritten code that you don't pull stunts like that. He wouldn't be manly enough to do it on a night out in Manchester, so he shouldn't do it on the pitch either.

He would really want to wise up, get a bit of cop on and have some more respect for himself and his fellow professionals.

I expect nothing less from Van Gaal. One of the most classless people in the sport, as always. Ugly inside and out.

Scored the equaliser in a 3-1 win over West Brom as Reading reached the F.A. Cup quarter finals. I feared the worst when I heard there had been an altercation between a West Brom player and the supporters but it turned out to be Chris Brunt. He was hit by a coin thrown from his own fans as he approached them to give away his jersey.
