Greetings to all from Athens. I'm currently staying in the Aristotles Hotel in the city and today, I had a look at the flea market in the Plaka/Monastiraki district, chilled out on Syntagma Square and took a look at the 1896 Olympic Stadium. The place is really the crossroads between East and West in terms of culture. The night porter at the hotel is one helluva funny character and we all got a laugh.I met up with a group of Faroese and they are similar to the Irish, they love to have a good time.
Last night outside the hotel, the Faroese group started to sing the Wild Rover, which was quite bizarre.
Another weird scene was a motorcyclist carrying a dog. I'm here till Saturday and the plan is to visit the Acropolis.
What has been your experience??
