Seems to be contradicting himself a bit tonight by bigging up Milan. How can they be so great if they're doing **** in a **** league?
My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method, is love. I love you Sheriff Truman.

Just the once to my knowledge, but then he didn't have Dunphys shocking drink driving record.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Jesus. Very harsh to cut off his schlong just because he called the result incorrectly. No wonder RTE cant get new talent on board.
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

during his preview last night of the celtic match he referred to 'the brown lad on the bench who they signed in the summer, an australian midfielder' or words to that affect. his lack of knowledge is unbelievable, there are two brown's in celtic's squad, one is a scottish keeper who was on the bench, the other is a scottish midfielder who was banned last night. just thought it showed him up for the chancer/b*llsh*tter he is

Not really, Milan are a very different proposition in the CL than in the league, league form is often very different to CL form, Liverpool and AC Milan have both showed this, I'd much prefer to get Inter than AC in the CL as inter always seem to bottle it in the CL

Dunphy was a joke last night. If he loves Trap then he should get used to this Italian Cattanecco (excuse the bad spelling) style. Ireland will be playin this too.

Also Inter have a very good team but a very bad coach. They def have the ability to beat most teams, if they are allowed to. Thats why i tipped them and ac milan to win the CL. They have an awesome midfield

“Eamon is obviously a good friend of mine — I last spoke to him about four or five years ago. Maybe I need to give him a call. He’s clearly upset by that."

Classical, never thought I'd hear that.

But it shows how much of a sod Dunphy is.
San Marino are going to be a handful as the group goes on." - Steve Staunton reacts to performance against San Marino.

I despise Dunphy. Occasionally he comes out with some good one's but that's a rarity.
Eg: Liverpool v Inter Milan (I'm a 'Pool fan so slightly biased but you'll get the point).
Before the match: Liverpool are a poor team who have an even poorer manager. THey'll be humilated by the best team in Italy.
After the match: Inter are a nothing team. Look at their players; Ibrahomiivic is nothing, he wouldn't get into most teams. Italian football is a joke.
The next night, Arsenal v AC: After the match: Arsenal are nowhere near as good as people think ands they will be knocked out by a world class side.

Yes, you wait for Laughing Bill to challenge him on the total contradictions but he.......well, he just laughs.

    A fellow blood boiler.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

His comments tonight about Gibson were out of order. Fair enough he wasn't happy, but to say a 20 year old who went through a hell of a lot to get playing for us is 'a reserve team player, and thats all he ever will be', or words to that effect, is bang out of line. It was his full debut for crying out loud

Dunphy was correct. I believe he said Gibson was a reserve player so should not be playing now. He could be good later but not now.

    (i feel ill saying that)

From what i remember that is what he said.
He was about to have a go at Giles as well but backed down pretty quickly. Dunphy is a headline hunter. Says the extravagant to get noticed. Im not saying everything he says is wrong its just the manner in which he says it annoys me. I dont think he was hugged when he was a kid.

he might not have had the best of games, but Darron Gibson is well within his rights to chin him when he hears what he said.

He is only 20, making his debut, and fought harder than anyone else has ever had to, to prove he should even be allowed to represent his country.

Critisising Trap is one thing, he has weathered worse than that gob****e, but the kid is only starting off and the least he deserves is a bit of encouragement.

If he had put in that performance for the north on his full debut, as couls easily have been the case, i guarentee the likes of Jim Magilton and Gerry Armstrong would not have said anything like that. Though in fairness Dunphy knows a lot more about only ever being a reserve player for Manchester United
