Ramblers getting relegated in 95 was pretty sore. Been too long away from the top league.
Top Breeders recommend drinkfeckarse....
My worst moments would be as follows:
Losing 1-4 to Douglas Hall in the Cup at home, ouch.
Losing 1-6 at home to Longford around 99 or 2000.
Seeing 3,000 or so queing outside our ground for tickets to a friendly with Roy Keane and Man U.![]()
''and I for one welcome our new insect overlords''
Tom McNulty 1991. Utter devestation around TC
The 1-0 defeat to Pats in 1999, absolutely robbed at Richmond. I still have no idea how he sent Kelvin Flanagan off
FAI Cup Semi Defeat to "them who shall not be named" at Tolka a couple of years ago
The two 6-0s and the relegation were bad but the worst for me was Liam Coyle's free kick way into injury time in the cup quarter final a few years ago in Belfield to force a replay.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Promotion Play Off Final Second Leg 2003
Throwing away a first leg 2 -0 win only to let in THREE in at the second leg in Drog town. Not only that, but we had two goals disallowed in the second leg by ref Alan Kelly (okay, one was marginal but the other was blatant). I had a bottle of Champers in my bag
Had Drogs been relegated that day, would they have gone full time professional a few months later?
Nobody knows us, we don't care
Mr Eddie Foley, I believe, was in a spot of bother that day.
Also, conceding a goal 3/4 minutes into injury time away to UCD in the playoff, to lose 2-1, in 99/2000(?). Lost the home leg 3-1, and would probably not have gone through anyway, but it was a sickener, after the game it had been.

Cobh should have sold those tickets inside the ground only and made those batsards pay into a First Division Fixture..Cobh board please note this is how you do it next time. Who cares about ripping off barstoolers? They don't contribute diddly squat to the game here so fcuk them !
I started following the team actively towards the end of the second season so I missed some of the hidings dished out in 1979/80
My own worst moments were in 1996/97 season. I went to Finn Park and booked accomodation and saw UCD lose 5-1. The owner of the B and B was a huge Finn Harps fan, and was at the game , who spent the rest of the evening trying to cheer me up.
The next one was taking a Tuesday off work to go to see the team play Derry in the Brandywell the same season. We were tonked 5-0 the players just didn't turn up. What made this even more depressing was three months earlier we had been in second place in the League.I haven't been back to either venue since.
And the next one was losing 6-0 to Bohs at Dalymount ( I was on holidays for the Shelbourne tonking) that bitter pill was softened by not having to travel 150 miles to get home from the game. And Bohs were to be fair magnificent that night!
Derry's fourth goal in last year's cup final
Zimbru
Peno shoot-out v Shels in the marathon cup 1/4 final a few years back
Revenge for 2002
-Drawing 0-0 with St. Kevin's Boys in a cup match a few years back. Its was a horrendous game, the journey home took forever.
-The Pat Fenlon era
-Losing the league to Cork in 2005
-Losing the league to Shels in 2006
-Losing in the cup semi to Bohs a few years ago

my worst memories as a town fan:
1.being stuck in dublin airport in 2001 when our flight was cancelled due to a flight that never turned up for us!
2. the fiasco in wales.
3. being hockeyed five nil by harps in ballybofey
4. being hcokeyed five nil by bohs in dalymount this season.
5. conceding i think thirteen goals to shamrock rovers twice in the space of a week in 2001/02 season( one of them was a league cup match)
6. being caught up in the shamrock rovers riot with the guards in 2005( i think)
7. losing the league cup final to pats to dave freeman goal barry ferguson missed a last min peno the final whistle blew!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
last season playing shels we hadnt won in something like eleven games and we were 2 nil up at half time . The last touch of the ball went to glen crowes head and we lost it 3 2 it just felt like we were never going to win.
drogheda semi final of the cup 2005 lost 2 1 just the whole trip left me depressed
The worst moment as a Waterford United fan was the 2004 FAI Cup final and conceding 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to lose 2-1 to Longford. We were 5 minutes away from winning our first FAI Cup since 1980 and qualifying for Europe for the first time since the mid 80s.Ex Blue Alan Kirby got the equaliser to make it worse and then Keegan got the winner. From joy to despair in a matter of minutes and we've gone downhill ever since that game.
Liam Coyle retiring from football and watching the bandwagon in Paris last year, sickening.
