Folks there is a salary cap believe it or not in operation in all major sports in the USA. They can pay individual players what they like but they cannot spend more than a set percentage of their revenue. Mind you the fact that transfer fees don't exist may have something to do with the telephone number earnings their sports people earn. And Beckham is way behind in that pecking order.

We have been replaced by wexford youths in the super six according to todays star. Id say Nick has upset our bigger soending clubs with his attitude to the wage cap.

They're not very super at all at this stage are they??

What happened to Mick Wallace's amateur ethos??

Why were Galway involved in the first place if they are rowing in the opposite direction??

I dont think we were at all as the club has always been behind the wage cap as the sensible way forward and to stop clubs bankrupting themselves in search of glory.

Answers my question in full yet again, gotta love that Galway 'let's throw the head in the sand' attitude to things like this.

This isn't a pop about the way Galway were promoted, this is a honest question as to whether or not ye lot can't see that it is a bit ridiculous for Lesson and GUFC to start going on about the FAI's mismanagement when they are the club that have benefitted from said mismanagement most.

Patrick Dunne, thanks for not resorting to the usual Galway nonsense in regards to answering a question I put to them, much appreciated, honestly
