great win for the blues tonight, especially with longford losing. brennan's sending off was so stupid,he won himself a free-kick,but decided to kick out at our player.

Just watched the highlights of the Bohs - Pats game again, and I have to say Brian Murphy is hilarious in how he makes every save look like it's world class. Can he not hold a ball?
    Ryan is far better imo

Eoin Hand said on RTE Radio thatits bad for the league that Drogs are going to be champions by a huge margin - No one in Drogheda gives a fcuk about that
Going to be the most one sided league in years.

I would tip Longford to finish ahead of Waterford tbh. Think they are the better team. (Sorry Blues!)

5 points might not seem a lot but it means Longford winning 2 on the bounce and Waterford loosing 2 on the bounce... I think it's the same between us and Waterford, 4 points in the difference, because of our goal difference they need to win 2 on the bounce and then hope we loose 2 on the bounce.

Next weekend will probably be the most important on in the league. Waterford play Longford and we play Cork on Friday and then our game in hand on Monday... IMO 3 more points will see us safe.

Key games for us. 3 off Galway and at least 1 off Longford should see us safe on 31 points. Anything else would be a bonus.

Unfortunately events at the X last night afterwards turned very nasty. It seems at least 2 city supporters were hospitalised (one of whom is mentally handicapped) and 7 fans arrested according to reports here http://www.ccfcforum.com/forum/City-...40#entry382280
A lot of different reports but no doubt some very serious clashes and injuries incurred. Really hard as a witness (while sitting in a car) to a group of 12 rovers fans crossing the road to kick 2 city fans heads in to refrain from the calling rovers fans scumbags. They certainly have a fairly large selection of adult men willing to act like bebo warriors.

Longford-Waterford is the big game - if Longford don't win, they're down. Don't fancy Waterford to win a play off though.

Same here. Wateford are a good bit worse than the teams around them and I hope it's them that go down purely because they will have the lowest actual points total. I can see Dundalk winning the playoff against either team though.

Bit harsh. If Longford do better than them, it's by racking up huge debts, which is hardly to be encouraged.

That's one of the most hilarious posts yet seen on foot.ie, despite the competition. Murphy is a class act, with undeniable ability.
Do you think Barry Ryan letting the ball through his legs was more authentic?

Or perhaps Murphy dropping an easy enough ball 3 yards from his goal?

I'm a neutral in this game so it's an unbiased opinion.
No doubt he's good, just not that good

Don't know exactly what the situation is but seemingly they have sorted themselves out, unlike Shels this time last year.
