Angry UCD v Bray in not important shocker !!

    Tonight's eircom League previews
    Friday, 5 October 2007 09:56
There's another busy night in store in the eircom League of Ireland with eight games taking place around the country.

The pick of the action in the Premier Division will see the RTÉ cameras descend on Richmond Park for the intriguing battle between St Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians. Sean Connor's Bohs trail their second placed Dublin rivals by six points, and with just six games left in the race for European qualification, every point will be vital for all those chasing long-term leaders Drogheda United.

United themselves host Sligo Rovers at United Park in another of the night's more enticing fixtures, and Paul Doolin's men will be hopeful of at least maintaining their eight point lead over Pat's with victory over Paul Cook's men, who have only managed to take five points from 15 in recent weeks.

Cork City and Shamrock Rovers, both very much in the hunt for the European and Setanta Sports Cup places, meet at Turner's Cross in what should be an absorbing contest between two sides who place an emphasis on attacking football, while there is the proverbial six-pointer at Terryland Park, where victory over Galway United could see Longford Town climb off the bottom for the first time this season. A win would also take Alan Mathews' men to within three points of tonight's hosts as we approach the business end of the campaign.

In the night's final Premier Division game (!!! ), second from bottom Waterford United host Derry City, and if results don't go their way, United could find themselves propping up the table by 10pm tonight.

In the First Division, Limerick 37 host Wexford Youths at Jackman Park, while Shelbourne entertain bottom club Kilkenny City at Tolka Park.

Anyone going down to the RDS this evening? Gary Brown's on the wing and The Luke might get some time at 13.

At least we're acknowledged in the fixtures at the end.

THE South East Dublin Derby. ( Bray is in the 01 phone area !)
How can anyone not see the importance of this fixture?
The attendance was very disappointing. I have been at better attended versions of this fixture when both teams were in the First Division
