    Coleman in Irish U21 squad

Just been into town there and was chatting to a fella who said he heard that Seamie has got the shout for the friendly in Sweeden next week???

Anyone hear anything about this??? Delighted for him if he has. Totally deserved.

This is the original U-21 squad named for Sweden:

Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad v Sweden (Uppsala, October 12th)

    Darren Randolph (Charlton Athletic)
    Shane Supple (Ipswich Town)
    Keith Keane (Luton Town)
    Darren Dennehy (Everton)
    Darren O’Dea (Celtic)
    Eddie Nolan (Blackburn Rovers)
    Michael Spillane (Norwich City)
    Stephen O’Halloran (Aston Villa)
    Stephen Quinn (Sheffield United)
    Patrick Cregg (Falkirk)
    Owen Garvan (Ipswich Town)
    Darron Gibson (Manchester United)
    Alan Power (Nottingham Forest)
    Alan Sheehan (Leicester City)
    Billy Clarke (Ipswich Town)
    Anthony Stokes (Sunderland)
    Jim O’Brien (Celtic)
    Keith Treacy (Blackburn Rovers)

So unless he's been called in to replace one of them then it's not true.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Sligo will be looking to have their game that night postponed if he has been?

Unless of course he gets an additional ban for his recent red card

If he has been called up he won't be in that squad as Givens said no eL players would be in that one. He'd be replacing one of these (defenders) for the game against England on Tuesday if picked:

    Darren Randoph (Charlton Athletic)
    Darren Quigley (UCD)
    Stephen O’Halloran (Aston Villa)
    Conor Powell (Bohemians)
    Darren Dennehy (Everton)
    Eddie Nolan (Blackburn Rovers)
Richard Keogh (Huddersfield Town – on loan from Bristol City)
    Darren O’Dea (Celtic)
    Darron Gibson (Manchester United)
    Stephen Quinn (Sheffield United)
    Owen Garvan (Ipswich Town)
    Shane McFaul (UCD)
    Michael Collins (Huddersfield Town)
    Patrick Cregg (Falkirk)
    Billy Clarke (Ipswich Town)
    Adam Rooney (Chesterfield)
    Anthony Stokes (Sunderland)
    Jim O’Brien (Celtic)

    Wow. Great argument there.

Seriously, there's no bias. If he's good enough, he'll get in. End of story.

Not true. Givens is an idiot that doesn't know the EL, just like Stan.

He's correct in calling up McFaul and Quigley (though granted Sammon is a bit of a mystery), but he's clearly watching the league. Coleman just mustn't have done well in matches against the Dublin teams.
