good result for everyone except rovers of course!!! both were defo red cards. keeper handles outside box, ref consults wit lino and red card is given. the 2nd one the rovers lad hit out at kavanagh infront of the ref and had to walk. never thought we'd score though and even with 9 men rovers looked threatening.... it was about time bray got the 50-50 decisions from the ref!!!

Thought Bray were the better side when it was 11 v 11. The first sending
of was a bit harsh as there was Rovers players behind the keeper and no Bray player. As for the second Stupid.

Rules generally say handle outside box= red card regardless of who is behind its not like they can catch the ball.

I wonder if Scully will be banned for his Staunton impression? I know the 4th official had a word with him about it. They coulda done with that kinda kicking in France....

You don't know the rules then. Just like Hancock.
It should just have been a yellow.

Not anywhere outside the EL actually, but Hancock obviously doesnt give a jot about actually knowing the laws of the game judging by his inept performance last night! Some very poor decisions to say the least.

From seeing it on TV3 it was on its way to the net until he handled it. Fairly strong back header from the defender
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

Seriously people, it is a red card offence to deliberately handle the ball if in the opinion of the Ref and AR Murphy denied a goalscoring opportunity or a goal.

Big result for us last night and a super preformance as well... Even before the 2 sending offs i fwlt like we were the better side, had more of the ball and created more of the chances. I can't remember Rovers hitting the target once all night?

On the red cards, IMO Murphy deserved to go, Murphy came rushing out and his own player under severe pressure from a Bray player headded it back towards Murphy's net, Murphy at this stage had come outside his box and jumped and stopped the ball rolling towards the Rovers net, which both Bray and Rovers players were bearing down on. He stopped what was a goal scoring chance with his hands outside the box. Red Card.

The 2nd sending off was even more clear cut. Rovers players was fouled just beside the Rovers dugout, got up and lashed out and it one of our players in the face. No doubting it was a red card.

IMO the ref was left with no choice in either case and got them bang on. I don't think he had a bad game either, just that Rovers committed a ell of a lot of fouls when they were down to 9 men and were being pulled all over the pitch by the Bray players.

Rovers did well to hold out until they did, but we should have been 3 or 4 up before we actually did score. Cawley's goal was a cracker, as were Delaneys and O'Sheas, wouldn't be surprised if all 3 goals were up for GOTM for October.

In would also like to say fair fcuks to every single Rovers fan to played a big part in minutes applause and at half time when welcoming the firefighters from Bray, Wicklow and New York onto the pitch, it was very much appricated by all. By far the best away support we've had in the Carlisle this season. Looking forward to it already next season !

Not the case (assuming the facts are as stated here). I've seen keepers come to the edge of their area to catch the ball, step a yard outside by accident and been sent off.

Harsh maybe, but not incorrect. Big difference.
