Bids?
That's a plus anyway!
I already mentioned the Irish Mail on Sunday reckoned he was off to Stockport. The Herald today in their report of the game last night says he's been subject of bids from Gretna and Stockport. Didn't say when or what or whether they were rejected though we reckon he's entitled to leave for free.

A bid could mean an attempt to sign the player rather than offering money though.![]()
He'd be better off staying with us and playing regularly. He'll still get plenty of exposure with the U-19s and U-21s, just look at Quigley.
Hasn't done Gary Dicker any harm. If he can walk into the team, Bermo wouldn't be too far away from it either.
Shane McFaul got ahead of him in the U-21 pecking order.
I doubt he would go straight into their team with the experience he has- not saying he shouldn't though (not saying he should though either). I think Dicker may have been dropped for one of the league games??
He was dropped for the last game, but brought on after 35 minutes when 4-0 down. Won't be happening again I'd say!
Talking to Sherro and Maccer last night; they confirmed Bermo's 99% off to Stockport at the end of the season. He's currently an amateur, so no fee.
We could always organise another money spinning friendly with them. On another related matter, the further we progress in the FAI Cup the more likely other players are, to become target for cross channel teams.
After winning the Cup in 1984 we lost Ken O'Doherty to Crystal Palace the following February and Joe Hanrahan to Manchester United at the end of the 1984/85 season.

********. He's been brilliant for us since he arrived.I think he would have been better off waiting a year or two more and play regularly for us than go off to play reserve football.
What clubs? Hopefully someone heard something good about Hynes...
All joking aside, a move to the Primera Liga would be a step above the English Premier League IMO. And way above the Championship or any of the other Mickey Mouse English Divisions ! It would be a trailblazing act for any ELOI player to go direct to Spain. Last one to do so was Alan Campbell back in the 1984 close season who went from Shamrock Rovers to Racing Santander.
(Liam Buckley from that same Rovers side went to Belgium to play for Waregem.)
In fact apart from Gerry Armstrong in 1982 I cannot think of any Northern Irish players who went to Spain either.
