    Romantic Weekend in Ireland

I'm thinking of taking the Missus away for a weekend, somewhere in Ireland as I can't be bothered going overseas! Just somewhere for the two of us. Any suggestions????

    Nice, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

Good steakhouse in the village, a pub or 2, and The Burren on your doorstep.

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

Any town/village on the west Cork coast would get my vote, with Kinsale being the most popular destination.

Shipquay street at 2am in Derry has to be top of your list. The wonderfully romantic sight of hoods and cops beating the b'jaysus out of each other is something to behold.

Seriously, Lusty Beg in Fermanagh or a weekend at Harveys Point in Donegal should do the trick for yee.

I try a lusty beg most nights, and every so often it does indeed do the trick!

Had a look there and counldn't find it, although I remember there being one before. It's part of Coillte, although I found a thread on boards.ie asking if the place had been sold. Pretty sure it was on a map of Ireland I bought recently, so not really sure what's going on!

Longford. She'll visibly melt at the sight of the beautfiul hills and mountains of the county. Take her on a driving trip of the Ring of Kerry, she'll love it.
