Booze at the game

Lads,

Not wanting to sound like a bore but last night I saw an idiot watching the game and drinking his pint outside. That I can get over, however, I noticed that there were two stewards standing a few feet away and not one of them approached him. It annoyed me so much that I was just about to say it to him myself when he turned around and went back inside.

I think our stewards need to be a little more vigilant regarding these type of issues.

so everybody who pops outside to check da score is an idiot. just remember every pint dat itiot drinks is money to da club. if im right u had a drink ... r u an idiot

Yep I had a drink. In fact I had a lot more than one. Nope. I'm not an idiot. Thr rules are simple. No in the ground and that means from the bar as well. The guy was a bit ****ed. You'd be the first to criticize if trouble broke out and some innocent bystander got that glass in the face so go away and don't annoy me.

i'm pretty sure you are allowed drink in plastic cups, maybe marco can clear this up. Luka i think talking bout glasses in the face is very extreme considering there hasnt even being a slap thrown by fans at rams matches in 10+ years. More pepople drinking the better atmosphere, sad but true. More money for bar so all the better. Since theres loads of name callin going on here let me be the first to call myself a ******** before you beat me too it Luka.

My alcohol consumption took place after the game. This guy was almost standing behind the Goal Posts with his pint and he didn't just nip out to check the score. Also check your facts about what I spent and over what period I spent it. Putting money over the bar doesn't necessarily mean it was all on alcohol.

Hey lads relax, there is no need to ball a guy out for his opinions. I know Luka and ya he has another forum so what. Some of yee guys actually post on that also, no harm there, so leave the personal remarks out. As regards the pint glass. I hate them pitch side, it's can be a weapon in stupid hands, so we will have to watch this a little more carefully. As regards the stewards, they give their time to do what they do, any of yee guys interested? extra numbers would be great. But don't slag off guys who help out, whether a little or a lot, all this stewarding buisness will change soon.

bellavista man, you are right i'v often heard people moaning about the atmosphere at matches (altough some matches have been electric) and i'v heard people moan about pints the way you cant have them pitch side and you cant drink and watch the match at the same time...How about drinks being sold in plastic cups and being aloud drink pitchside???(anyone agree)

It's not that difficult to actually go 90 minutes without a pint. I regularly have a few pints before I watch a game, then watch the game before having another few pints after it. People moaning about not being able to have them pitch side should just relax a small bit. It's not evn a big issue if you think about.

Having people drinking at pitchside be it in a plastic cups or not is a recipe for trouble.
