How do players get picked for the squad?, is it through games with their club sides in the FAI cup or is it through playing with their oscaor traynor team.

its through all competitions really, going well in the FAI & Oscar Trayor helps enormously in exposure, also how your side fares in the league and provincial cups comps.

who else would you pick from limerick? i also think he has picked the wrong player from limerick as well by the way im not a big fan of hartnett, but fair play to him he is in the squad for the 3rd or 4th time in a row, so it looks like im wrong!!

both fine players but not good enough compared to the players in their position in the squad, the only player i could think of would be alan carroll, and if alan barry was fit he would hsurely be worth a look. after that i cant think of many

the majority of the best players in cork play in the munster senior league thereby rendering them ineligible for the junior team, steven o mahony is a quality player a former ireland underage international and ex limerick fc player, im from limerick and believe the league is quite strong but there are no real stand out players in my opinion

2 players from Kerry, James Sugrue Dynamos and Steve O Mahony Lisselton. Tough to see the sense in that Kerry league is only average and way behind Limerick. Tralee Dynamos lost 7-0 in the league playoff to Killarney. If that's the difference between first and second in the league than it's a shambles. In saying that it's obviously based on individual players and not league strenght.

You can play Junior Intl but not Amatuer Intl.
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

Thats a ridiculous comment to make, maybe it was the fact that he was played on the wing against northern Ireland instead of upfront where he always plays, gerry Smith might play him upfont the next day and get a better look at him

Shows how little you know about Junior soccer...When its rife(In limerick anyway) that the big clubs are offering players junior int. caps if they sign on with them..Look at St.Michaels did horribly last year and yet still manage to have 3/4/5 players on the int. side, where as the team who won the Munster Junior has 1..odd no?

Hartnett,McGarry,Wall...Those 3 would walk onto most Junior teams in the country..and for Arguments sake Enright would deserve a mention.
