    BOYCOTT Remaining Games

I would not normally make this call, but BOYCOTT THE REMAINING GAMES. An empty Croke Park will hit the FAI. Going to Croker and booing is ineffective and could be seen as booing the players. This has gone way too far.

A planned boycott ouside the ground could also be effective.

The FAI are ignorant, arrogant and totally out of step with the feelings of Irish fans, obviously so, if they have to resort to the opinions of failed English club managers like Glen Hoddle in support of Stunton. Waste no more money on these Muppets, they cannot continue to expect to be rewarded. We have to demand more from the FAI and the manager. The English pundits will of course say how spirited and brave we are...but would they put up with this if this was Engerrrland? Not bl00dy likely, condescending a$$h0les.

What an insult to us for the FAI to point to the progress that has been made, there has been none Stan has brought us backwards if anything.

Won't hit them that much IMO, games already sold out so they have the money!

I think that is just been plain stupid. We support the boys in green and if Stan is the manager so be it. I agree that he might not be the right manager but we support the country and the 11 lads on the pitch.

You have to stick with the team through the good and the bad times.

absolutely on no account should we boycott games , if lads want to boo the manager then so they should but the team should be given our support, they tried their hearts out in the last two games , even carrsley and mcgeady who frankly played crap could not be faulted for effort.
stan has to go but those players will be playing for thier country when stan is long gone...
Was he crazy!! Yeah , in a very special way , an Irishman.

Any gestures of discontent should not be shown in the ground 'cos it always ends up like you are slagging the team who are representing your country.
And that won't help them win the game.

I hate sitting next to anyone booing or jeering my team as it can get very divisive.

    Get on to Delaney.

Simple easy chant, no player could be thick enough to think it was aimed at them( ok maybe Stephen Ireland)..........btw, I sold my tickets, 4, days out of work for meaningless fixtures, plus travel and hotels..........no brainer....for me.Half price btw.

That is certainly your prerogative, but for me you either support them or you don't.

I don't see any benefits for the team to have a load of slagging going on around them as they play for their country or to play in a half empty stadium.

I understand why people aren't happy with Stan but I still say there must be a better way and that must include aiming your disappointment/ire at the man who gave him the flippin job..but you don't have to wait till match day to do that.

I suspect that by default there will be a boycott of the Cyprus game. Can't see us getting anything but a hammering from the Germans... thus can't see more than 40,000 turning up the following Wed for the Cyprus game and that will mean a huge amount of empty seats which will look awful...plus those who do show up will be in a very unforgiving mood and the abuse that will be aimed at Staunton/Delaney will be vicious... anyone remember McCarthy's last home game against Switzerland when we went one down and the bulk of the crowd started a "Keano, Keano .." chant , well IMO what Stan and Delaney will have to enjure will be (rightly) worse and no doubt then Delaney will be prepared to offer up Staunton to save his own skin.

He will undoubtedly hide behind Stan to save his own skin.
None of this criticism seems to get to him at all.
    Why not ?

I think part of it is because far more people recognise Stan than will ever recognise Delaney, or know his history and involvement with football here over the last few years. This makes Stan an easier target for the media. More people will pick up a paper with "Sack Stan NOW" as a headline than "Sack Delaney NOW". I can name several club chairmen in Ireland, England and across the continent but I've no clue who the chairman is for the international sides.
Also, while the board of football clubs seem to come in from pressure from disgruntled fans, it doesn't seem to happen as often on the international scene, for example when England walked off at half time 0-0 against Andorra, the fans were barracking the management, not the board, yet "Sack the board, sack the board" is heard frequently throughtout the season.
I'm not saying the management doesn't come in for criticism as well at club level, just that at international level the board doesn't seem to come in for the same amount of criticism as at club level.

But in this case it should.

I cannot understand all the stick that Stan is getting while that gobsh!te Delaney gets away with it. He appointed him for god's sake !!

Stan was in charge of a reserve team and this nob chose him to lead the Irish international side

How does he get away with it ?

It would be silly to boycott the games. We have the best fans in the world, do we really want to give up that title just because the goings getting tough??
A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.
