    Rovers out to teach Students

    http://www.eleven-a-side.com/premier...sp?newsid=5086

As Dublin derbies go, this one could be one of the quietest, with the Students of UCD meeting nomads Shamrock Rovers at the Hoops’ temporary home of Richmond Park on Easter Monday evening (kick-off: 7.45pm).

Rovers have been the draw kings in the opening weeks of the season, playing out one-pointers with Drogheda United and St Patrick’s Athletic.

Liam Buckley’s side will have been disappointed not to win both games; they dominated proceedings against Drogheda but could not beat an inspired Drogs keeper Gary Rogers, who kept out a Trevor Molloy penalty among several fine saves.

Rovers then took the lead against the Saints through a Stephen Gough spot-kick, but could not hold on to the lead, and spurned a few excellent chances to glean the three points in the second half.

They will be content to be at least creating chances - UCD have not scored in either of their games, a narrow 1-0 defeat to champions Bohemians before being well beaten on a 3-0 scoreline by Cork City at Belfield Park last time out.

On both occasions, goalkeeper Pat Jennings Jnr was in exceptional form, but the fact that they still conceded four goals will surely be worrying to manager Paul Doolin, who could be ion for a difficult season.

Jennings took over in goal from Premier Division goalkeeper of the year, Barry Ryan, who meets his former team-mates when he keeps goal for Rovers tonight.

Ryan made an uncharacteristic error to gift Pats an equaliser the other day, but will be hoping to add to his clean sheet tally for his new club against his old one tonight.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have to get at least a point tonight, three games and no points would be a disaster.
And stay out of Bumtown, ya no talent bum.

Three losses from three and I don't fancy our chances against an in-form Waterford on Friday.

(If anyone was at it) How did we play? Was it like Bohs(We play well and lose) or Cork(We get completely outplayed)?
