Just see on the match previews on the FAI site, that we have signed ex-Longford player, Stuart Holt. I think we went out on loan to Dublin City or someone last season.

Although bringing a striker in is more of a priority at the moment, this is good news. Holt was a regular with Longford two seasons ago and anyone who could hold down a place in the Premier division should play an important role for us. I also remember him scoring a corker of a free kick on TV against St Pats, so maybe he can do damage from set-pieces for us also.
I can't make it to the game tonight so if atfconline or Oh No could post something about how it went then I'd be interested to read it. Best of luck to the team...

Actually, while I'm on the topic, does anyone know what kind of coverage midlands radio gives to town matches these days? What frequency is it? I mightn't be able to pick it up here in Galway but it may be worth a try...

They give full commentary of homes games, but it's only on the Athlone frequency of 102.1, you won't pick that up in Galway. I'll text ya score updates.

mr holt is an ok player, great on the dead ball, but where do you play him, he's not really a defender and average in midfield, but a good signing and best fo luck to him and to our first division neighbours for the coming season
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........
