Stalemate in first division games
Both matches in the eircom League First Division ended in draws on Saturday night, April 19.
Three of the goals came in the second half as Galway United and Athlone Town finished level on 2-2 at Terryland Park.
Murphy gave Galway the lead on the strokes of half-time, but McCann equalised for Athlone nine minutes into the second period.
Galway, who had Goldby sent off in the 64th minute, reclaimed the lead 10 minutes from time when Frawley found the net, but the cheers of the home supporters had barely died down when Mullan equalised at the other end.
Sligo Rovers secured a point on their travels when they drew 1-1 with Cobh Ramblers.
Rovers went in front after 14 minutes when McTiernan netted and they held that advantage until the 65th minute when Cummins equalised for Cobh.
