Monaghan United will be without the indespensible services of Robbie Farrell, Darren Meenan and Brian Gannon as they travel south to Wexford tomorrow. Meenan and Farrell both picked up their injuries in the rough and tumble game against Limerick last weekend. Meenan burst a blood vessel in his stomach in a collision with Limerick goalie David Ryan while Farrell picked up an ankle injury approximately 20 minutes after getting his 10th league goal. Gannon will spend his 2nd game on the sidelines due to a thigh muscle problem.

Manager Mick Cooke said of tomorrow's game "Friday’s game, like all matches, will be a tough one. Wexford Youth’s ran Shels very close last weekend and Shels only managed to get a last minute winner against them. They have given us 3 good games during the season and I am sure they will again.”

He continued “We will unfortunately be missing some of our key players and this will make the game even more difficult for us but I am hopeful that we will get something out of it.”
