Sligo Football Teams

Hi,

I've wrote here for a while. Now I'm in Sligo and I'm still looking for a club in Sligo. I was in the College-Training this week and the coach advise me the team of cranmore to play football. They were promoted to the first junior league and have a good pitch. Is that right? Some other teams in the first junior league with a good pitch?

Last week I have seen the pitch behind the govournment-building. It's very bad. I hope the most other pitches are in a better condition. Thanks for Infos!

treacy celtic, carbury FC, strand celtic all have good pitches and are in the top division! city united and abbey united play on the pitch behind goverment buildings. if you are interested in playing for abbey united, maybe you should get in contact with 'red bellied', who is a member here on this forum

Nice! Thanks for your Infos! The Cranmore-pitch is good as well? Can you tell me in which streets the pitches of those clubs are?
And can someone tell me when the teams have training? Do they have a website?

Is in Sligo a team with a astro-turf pitch? If there is one, whats the name of the club and where is the pitch?

no team plays on astro turf pitch!

look in some of the local newspapers yesterday and tuesday and maybe you will find some pictures and information on the clubs.

carbury and strand celtic plays in cranmore in 'McSharry Park' which is opposite the goverment buildings, but its usually locked! none of the teams have a website though! and i dont have numbers for them

try this person though.....he might be able to help i think he used to coach abbey or manage them but im not fully sure. send him a private message!>...

Think Red Metal is involved with Abbey, not me anyway. I know the manager of City United and from what I hear they have a good set up. If you are interested let me know and I will get some details.

Thanks for your informations!

I saw the 'McSharry Park' opposite the government building and I think its a good pitch!

I heared that Abbey Utd. is a very good team, but the pitch (behind the government building) is very bad. I think it's no fun to play there every week.

Are Strand Celtic and Carbury both in the first league of the junior leagues? Whats the name of the league? Which newspaper I need to get informations about the league?

Hm....If someone knows a person of Strand Celtic or Carbury, please tell me. If its possible I want to go to a training next week.
