has signed for Galway?

Wonder was this part of the reason he stepped
down from assistant Manager to "concentrate on his football"

United have signed experienced central defender Conor Frawley from Athlone Town. Frawley was also assistant manager with Athlone Town last season.


Mixed feelings on that. Since I started supporting the Town, Conor would have been my favourite player. Team captain, sleeves rolled up, always getting stuck in, scoring the header against Cobh to avoid re-election. At the same time, he passed his best. Watching him during the Limerick game, he was really caught for pace plenty of times.

We really should be holding onto players like him though for the coaching side of things. Himself and Cabsy, [and Silke at Longford]were/are all going for their coaching badges.

Sad to see him go.
