Does he have a scouting network? Or does he just sign players he's played with
9 strikers at the club, not one capable of 15-20 goals.

Arteta ****es all over Reid. He's the main reason Everton are overachieving while Andy is playing with Charlton. Says it all really
fergie says he's keeping him at OT for the season. Even thought he admitted there have been several approaches to take him on loan
There's 7 stikers at sunderland, not 9. (O'Donovan, Cole, Jones, Stokes, Connolly, Murphy, Chopra)
Stern John went to Southampton as part of the Kenweyne Jones deal, and Dwight Yorke is a MIDFIELDER!! He was signed on the basis of his World Cup performances is midfield for T&T, and has played their for Sunderland ever since!!

I think he played enough of his career upfront to be classed as a striker. Stokes plays right mid but you list him as a striker.
Keane going for quantity not quality will be a bad move in the long run. You need a sizeable squad but not 8 or 9 strikers, especially when not one of them will get a bagful of goals (Cole is well past it). They will struggle to stay up.

Every game he's played for Sunderland has been at midfield, and in all
likelihood, any future games he plays for them will also be at midfield.
Throughout qualification for the world cup, and up until he retired for Trinidad in March, he played for them at midfield also.
Yorkie is now, quite obviously considered by Keane to be a midfield player, not a striker.
Keane has played Stokes on the left wing by the way (Carlos Edwards has been an ever present on the right up until his injury 2weeks ago) and around 50% of his playing time is still spent up front. Thus he is a stiker who is playing out of position.
Yorke spends 0% of his playing time playing up front, 100% playing midfield, and this has been the case for nearly over a year and a half. Thus the distinction is clear regarding your stokes comparison, Yorke is a midfielder who used to play as a striker a number of years ago. Going on your logic, you would still regard Jamie Carragher as a full back
Judging from the shocking performances from Yorke in midfield I think it's a safe assessment to say he is a(n) [over the hill] striker playing out of position in midfield
"No regrets, none at all. My only regret is that we went out on penalties. That's my only regret. But no, no regrets." -Mick McCarthy
A full back and a centre back, yes. Just like yorke could still be classed as a striker, as well as a midfielder.
Any man who persists with him as a midfielder is going to have a struggle on his hands to keep them in the premier league, IMO, too many players, not enough quality.
