Thats not really something you can qualify, its just an opinion.
This isn't about defending Brady or his actions towards our league. In this instance he made a positive remark about the league and now he's being pilloried for that as well. So he makes no comment and he's a pr1ck, he makes a positive comment and he's a pr1ck. Strange reasoning. Like I said before up until fairly recently there was very little positive to say anyway.
BUT.....I agree that its these ex pro's could make a contribution to our league, not out of obligation but out of principle. Because without a strong domestic league we'll never fulfill our potential at International level. I was encouraged by Dunne's recent comments that he'd someday like to return to play for Rovers. Its the attraction of these names that'll help the game here, but we've got to give them something worthwhile to come back to so lets get our own house in order first. The state of the game here isn't down to Brady and his pals over in England, its down to the boys club in the FAI.

I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
The confidence of eircom league fans, players, officials and yes the fai who deserve some credit here is growing and is helped with comments from the likes of Brady. In Terryland last night I had a lad from the UK at his first ever LOI game and he was dead impressed with the teams, the venue the atmosphere. We need constant good PR if we are to grow and I cant understand those who get blinkered thinking how loyal they are and about the good old days. The league Of Ireland is not exclusively belong to the few, new comments, people, changed minds and fairweathers should be welcomed
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
