new stand

Work has recommenced (dont laugh) on the long awaited new stand today.
The inside of the stand that was half finished has been taken down and a digger was clearing out the old concrete..
The plan is to put a concrete base in and start again..Talking to the work maen the plan is to do it on a phased basis so that we will be able to the stand gradually and hopefully will be complete by November (fingers crossed)

I hear they had big problems with the Welsh crowd that were doing most of the steel, but that's sorted now. Some fella (a steel specialist or something) was apparently down from Dublin on Monday kicking the contractor into shape and we should see it finished fairly rapid. Already got my eye on a nice spot in the back row....

I'm only ever going to sit there for 21s games or youths. I love my spot on the other side.

Which begs the question why don't you just stay there for any 21's or youth games if you love it that much?

because cant sit down for senior games, and just the way it is.

You're dead right BM. The re-development of the ground is great, and I know all-seater is the way we're supposed to go, but personally I'd love to see the club retain some terracing (preferably covered). For many people, sitting down at a LOI match is just wrong.
