    Best Player In the Squad?

Just getting back to something a little bit more positive seen as we have drawn three very big games, and the fact that we have the 2nd best away record in the league (The cryptosporidium is gone now so the home record will change soon!).

I think Derek O'Brien has improved this season he's not as frustrating to watch and can trouble most defenders in this league

    Best Pairing; Glynn & O'Flynn

    Best defender: Regi

Best Midfielder: Foley/Murphs at the start too difficult to pick any out at the mo

Exactly the question I was going to pose, how about a bit of positivity?
For me the best player has been . . . . John Lester. His attitude on the pitch is spot on, and while he may not be the mostgifted player, he never stops trying, chasing, tackling, unlike one or two of the hands-on-hips brigade when they lose the ball.
Regi started like a house on fire but has faded, I think, in the past few weeks. Glynn has been a revelation, but really needs a big man up front with him. O'Brien has improved, but is still prone to the odd sulk. Alan Keane's return is very welcome, he is a great player and dare I suggest he should be captain next season?
Fitzgerald also loooks a very good player, and given a bit of time, Robson will prove a decent buy as well. If we can bring in a full back, right midfielder and some cover up front next season, a high mid-table finish is not beyond us

Sorry but it has to be Reggie for me as the season as a whole but I do see where you are coming from Woodquay about O'Brien & Keane both very good players for the club .
Make's you wonder if Reggie would be good in midfield .....

For me the best player in the squad this season has been Derek...he has the skill and while he can be the most frustrating player to watch sometimes, show me a skillful midfielder/winger in the world who isn't, if 20% of his attacks lead to a goalscoring chance we could be talking 2-3 decent goalscoring chances per game. And while his relationship with the fans has always been on/off, it is most definitely on at the moment IMO...

    regi

by far, he has suffered under TC illusions that he thinks we are playing away when we are playing at home. O brien has been fab, Lester is an honest grafter but doesnt cut it in premier would be great at Kilkenny or Lim 37.
Keane as captain next season could work but he still has a bit of recovery to do

    Derek O Brien.

Definitely the most committed player we have.

Robson and Fagan seem to have that trait aswell but they're not here long enough.

    Dead right Conor H.

He's been outstanding. A friend of mine, who didn't know how to get to Terryland, brought his son to the Sunderland game and were gobsmacked by the pace and skill of O'Brien.

O'brien has definitely improved leaps and bounds since the arrivial of TC and continues to do so this season.

After watching the shligo match at the weekend an honourable mention also has to go to Robson and Fitzgerald. Both of them were outstanding, nothing got through, over, around fitzy all night and robson never stopped running, covering, passing whilst he was on the pitch. When Robson was subbed, he gave 2 fists in the air and shouted "come on" to the new stand, it got one of the biggest cheers of the night and got everyone their talking about a fantastic player in the making.

Thought Id update this for you Conor. Robson proved his worth on Friday night. A great passer of the ball, very accurate. Great to hear he wasnt afraid to show a bit of passion when bein substituted too. Terry maybe you should continue to view the games from the new stand it brought us a bit of luck! But you missed out on the goal celebrations they were mental!
