Alan Matthews in my office

The Longford Town manager Alan Matthews recently graced the turf of my office and on hearing that I was a UCD fan endulged in a long conversation re: the eircom league with me.

As regards the **** up we had in longford the night the match was called off he said that Longford was still talking about the ****ed men in blue jerseys for 7 days after we left.

I am glad to have played a part in putting UCD on the map for all those people in Longford who have never heard of us and we also proved that we have a hard core element of fans the likes of which nobody thought we had.

Well done to everybody who played there part in this and other drunken frenzies its not often that a manager of some other team in the eircom league comments on UCD fans other than to say we have none!
