Another lovely piece of link up play and skill from Stokes.

Stokes Stokes Stokes.
A hat trick for Stokes, who's having a good game.
No doubt stung by Stutts' requiem.
Good man Anthony. Nice to see you taking on board the constructive career advice provided here on foot.ie!!
Actually Junior, the career advice was terminal.
Stokes has miraculously transformed it into something constructive.
Typical DeLorean!
cool on the outside, but always struggling underneath the hood.
Sixth career hat trick, three each for Falkirk and Celtic
Now that David McGoldrick has found a blood link to Ireland and Shane Long and Kevin Doyle have started to find the net again for new clubs, perhaps this hat-trick is a sign that Stokes realises that his path back to the national side is not as straightforward as "Trap resigns"
Why do you write that tets? to highlight that you can be a goody goody unlike the rest of the unwashed?Considering that we have links to highlights/incidents/goals from games in all sorts of competitions, are the mods going to have a little party because the bord's conscience can take morsel of moral relief from one link to a legal video, after the avalanche of status unknown youtube links over the past decade?
Should those who post video links, just write a side note FAO mods, 'afaia, this is a legal link to video highlight, as long as it stays up on youtube'?
Great goals! That first one was the pick of the bunch for me only because he made the space for the shot by himself so well. The last touch that he needed to take though is probably the reason why he's not a Premiership striker. There's a role for him in the Irish squad/team tough, lovely talent.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
I imagine some of the teams south of the border looked at his off-field antics and thought...no thanks, don't need that hassle
Folding my way into the big money!!!
Such a shame though he was the way he was off the field - really thought he had the potential have a much better career and go higher than what he has done so far.
I figure/guessing it was a main factor in wenger selling him
Christ by all accounts even Roy found him tough to deal with
I remember Liam Brady saying he was just lacking that extra bit of pace to make it at Arsenal.
u do wonder though - if that was just a cover up , i.e arsenal didnt want to acknowledge he had off the field issues as maybe it wud be harder to sell him?
Ive always viewed stokes as a smart player on the pitch which in turn u (or at least I ) would have thought wud have suited wengers style?
Brady's comments were during one of the more recent Ireland games. I'd imagine he just said it like it was but who knows. I think time has proven that he is nowhere near Arsenal's required level anyway*, albeit a nice footballer.
