The original Wicker Man (one of the best movie endings if you have not seen)
The Taking of Pelham 123 is a classic crime movie, often shown on tv.
The Searchers.
Saw it again recently and still enjoyed. Saw it along long time ago and didn't really get the racist bigotry at the time.
I'd well recommend Pierrepoint to anyone who's not seen it.
it's about Britains (and ours actually) last hangman.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
Black Hawk Down - a quiet classic.
2 very funny films possibly mentioned here before are Best In Show and A Mighty Wind. Both are mocumentary style and have the same cast and directorship.
For anyone who saw them: "Wha happened?"

That's a really good "little" movie alright. Starring the ever dependable Walter Matthau. He's also in a really good film with Jack Lemmon, where he plays a hitman, and Lemmon is a suicidal man in the apartment next door to where Matthau is waiting to carry out a hit. The name escapes me though. A real classic British film from the early sixties is "Whistle Down the Wind" with Hayley Mills, where a group of kids become convinced that an escaped convict hiding in their barn is Jesus. Really good.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Genuinely one of the funniest movies you'll ever see is Batman: The Movie, as in the 60s TV show spin off movie. So knowingly camp its great, plus once you're done laughing at the movie turn on the commentary by Burt Ward and Adam West and laugh even louder! This is just one of many quality scenes in it, but gives a real taste as to what the movies about
Another old favourite of mine - Point Blank.
Point break was also good I thought.
This one? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062138/
I thought you might mean Grosse Pointe Blank for a moment, which is fun, though I wouldn't expect it to come up here.
I liked Wonderland with Val Kilmer and Dylan Mcdermott, Kilmer plays John Holmes as his life really starts to hit rock bottom.(not a gay porn reference)
