Saw Pans Labyrinth for the 2nd time last night brilliant movie
Agree with you about The Village. Terrible film.

Not too sure about Pan's Labyrinth. I thought it was ok but it wasn't something I'd recommend.

Got Pan's labyrinth on DVD ages ago (didn't realise it was subtitled) I hate watching subtitled movies as I alway's seem to find myself reading them instead of watching them. was watching Aeon Flux the other night the english sub's were on and I couldn't find the remote, ended up turning it off after about fifteen mins cause I realised I was reading the sub's before the characters spoke, don't know if it's just me I just don't seem to be able to ignore subtitles even if the film is in english

If you liked Pans Labyrinth, then The Devils Backbone by the same director is equally as good, in fact maybe better.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Looking forward to No Country for Old Men but because of the hype will probably be disappointed.

After 5 minutes you will be absorbed and just take it for what itīs worth to you.

If Javier Bardem and his amazing performing hair dont win an Oscar, I'll eat my own mickey.
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

I'm quoting this mainly for reference purposes.

I enjoyed it, though the pantomime villain is a bit much.

Is it perhaps too late to point out that "Mickey" is a popular brand of Slovakian Cookies, of which I have a single one left in my press?

Give the storyline to some one else and you would have had a TLJ US Marshall helicopters galore splash.
It's not about likable characters but excellent characterizations of people in unusual circumstances. However the hunted man didn't have to go back to the scene for "unfinished business", his sense of duty was strong.
The characterizations in the scenes where people are responding to unusual situations, the shopkeepers, the border guard, the 3 young men to the injured hunted, the 2 kids to the man with the bottle, all are superb.

The film makes an initial mark and then grows, then more questions come and then demands to be watched again.

The guy who works opposite me in the office me is Slovakian. He's never heard of these cookies. If I had a penny for every time someone tried to back out of an arrangement for self-mutilation and cannibalism...

    I meant Slovenian.

They're all rubbish, but some are more entertaining than others.
Any Given Sunday is a decent American football film starring Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz. Escape to Victory is silly fun.

Hopefully he wins that award as I don't think anyone wants you eat that.
