The Proposition. Starring Ray Winstone, set in 1880's Australian outback, not bad.

Lost Angels. Starring Donald Sutherland, A troubled youth is sent to a private psychiatric hospital.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097782/

I would'nt say that either of them are the best films I've ever seen but they're interesting... well to me they are anyway

Fight Club. Y'all know about this one I'm guessin.

One great scene with a high camera howering over the town as the vamps do their thing though
'30 days of night' is a very good film.

watched the assasination of jesse james the other day
thought it was very good. slow and moody and the tension leading up to the assasination is class.
wouldnt go to a late showing tho as its quite a long film!

I also went to see this last week. 2 hrs 30 minutes but it flew by. Brad Pitt was excellent as Jesse James. Not your 'regular' western but if you like Mallick you'll love this.

For downright weird you cant beat Donny Darko. Spend the whole film thinking where is this going until it all fits together.

Eventually got around to watching Downfall last night. Have to say it's a fantastic film. Just being back from a short holiday in Germany made it all the more moving.

Got me thinking about other subtitled films I'd recommend, I think they've been mentioned on here already, but two from my collection are Battle Royal and Brotherhood of the Wolf.

I'm sure Run Lola Run has been mentioned already too.

Thought the Last King Of Scotland was superb.
Other good ones I've watched again recently (in the Western Genre) Unforgiven and Once Upon A Time in The West.

Mention of Downfall reminds me I lent it out some time ago and it's gone missing. Got it for €10 in HMV It's now €29 or €39. Can't remember I got such a shock.

Must watch Das Boot again. Absolute classic

Don't know if they've been mentioned already but I thought "Nigh****ch" and "Daywatch" were pretty cool.

EDIT: Just saw that t w a t in the middle of the first film title is bleeped out
