What sort of time frame are we talking about Razor?
Feck! He was establishing himself at Wigan. Hope it's not too bad.
There is no such thing as a miracle cure, a free lunch or a humble opinion.
What sort of time frame are we talking about Razor?
Was it the ankle on the left peg?
I did my ankle in a couple of years ago, just mucking about with a football in the back garden and turned it on a bit of a hole in the ground, so no nasty challenge is required. It was a double fracture, in plaster for 6 weeks, could have done with 7 I think cos it didn't feel too good when they took it off - lol. I was walking with a limp for several months after. Hard to say when it healed totally, if indeed it has, it is still discolored in places. McCarthy is a young lad though heal a lot easier, but if it's broke he will be out for a while.

Martinez was more critical of the pass from captain Antolin Alcaraz that put McCarthy under pressure.
“With a pass like that you are putting your team-mate into the lion’s den,” he said.
Sound like it was a hospital pass.
How long can it take to find someone (not How Long), who can have a look at the xray, inspect the ankle and deliver a reasonable first estimate on the injury. Can Wigan afford such treatment? Or is it normal to wait a few days for all this happen with such an ankle injury?
Some posters I see on various message baords are saying it is just a cut that required stiches and some swelling but nothing long term....hopefully that is going to be accurate.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
When I did mine I am pretty sure they had it X-rayed within a few hours, and that is on the NHS, they also put it in a temporary cast
for 24 hours until the swelling went down.
Also mine was still badly swollen 6 weeks later then they took the cast off, indeed 6 months later it was still swollen in places.

Kevin Davies on twitter said it looked bad, but that he saw McCarthy just after he had been taken off the pitch trying to get back on. Fingers crossed
James was trying to get back on??
Well that would be a positive sign for multiple reasons. Fingers crossed indeed.
Edit - Here's the 'tweet' in question:
"I heard he is fine and wanted to come back on!! thought it was serious at first as he was in a lot of pain, happy for him"

Yes apparently he was mad when he saw what's his name coming on for him and wanted to come back out.....
That is a good sign.
Sounds like a bone bruise to me. Day to Day.

Ankle ligament damage according to the English tabloids today.
Out for 4-6 weeks:

Disappointing he'll miss Norway but great news that it's not as serious as first feared.
I think we were already resigned to losing him for the Norway friendly,
4- 6 weeks is as good as it gets.
