Sincere apologies sir! I share your weariness of the OWC/AB hot-air debate. Even now I click the 'submit' button with trepidation!

I wobder if this had anything to do with Martinez's (with prompting from Dave Whelan)strange comments about McCarthy.
From todays Examiner in rlation to Kevin Doyle's injury

Moxey confirmed the club will not receive any compensation. "We get diddly squat," he said. "Unlike England and Scotland, the Republic of Ireland don’t offer insurance or compensation for players who get injured.

"FIFA’s guidelines do not require them to do so."

I heard that interview with Moxey on the radio last night and Moxey actually seemed to take it all in good grace, accepting it as an occupational hazard and a quirk of the system.

According to the page history - http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...action=history - it was the user from IP address* 83.71.1.162
Plugging this into IP Address Lookup: http://ip-address-lookup-v4.com/look...ip=83.71.1.162
tells us it's assigned to somewhere along Mespill Road.
If I had to guess, I'd say it was someone staying in the hotel that night.

How accurate can that google map indicator be?
I looked up my own isp on the google map and the red spot is 16 km away from my home.

It's probably closer to where the ISP itself is located, rather than your own house, pinpointing your location would bring up any number of privacy concerns

I think this whole "feeling" Irish thing that Killer we say has is something that would be difficult for us born in Ireland to understand and it would actually I believe take for someone like Kevin himself or Shane McGowan or Mick McCarthy etc to explain.

NB. This may already be out there. I'm just saying is all. Also I'm loathe for this comment to hijack Jimmy Mac's page.
Agree with your points - though Shane McGowan was born in Ireland.

PS I'd not lose any sleep over hijacking Jimmy Mac's page - it akin to worrying about driving a polluting 4x4 in Fukushima.

Just to test the accuracy I put my IP address in and the point it pin-pointed was 1.4 miles away, so it is a fairly rough indication.

Well mine was 1.4 miles away I think, it might have said km, I forget.
I would guess you live in a much less densely populated area than I do, perhaps, I am not to sure how it works.
I looked at the area and it was mainly residential housing, so I guess it is just a bit of a guess based on the physical
cabling, a 1.4 miles radius would cover several hundred, perhaps thousands of homes. It might just be pot luck
    that I appear nearer.
Which reminds me... I have some old IP addresses which are different but they all seem to pin-point the same spot.

Anyway it certainly did not appear to be a commercial area where an ISP might be located. I guess it is like the telephone
network with more cabling feeding off various junction boxes. Perhaps there is some sort of junction box around there, I would
recognise a telephone junction box, but mine is cable, and I imagine it is probably some sort of covered hole in the ground.
It might feed into the telephone networks cabling I suppose.

"The position was fine. It was just trying to get on the ball and it wasn't happening.

"The ball was going into Shane (Long) and it was bouncing off Shane and going back to the midfielders. In the second half I tried to drop back and get on the ball more. I got more of the ball then. But it was disappointing to lose 3-2 even though it was a friendly.

"I play more in midfield for the club. I was trying to support the forward a bit more.

"I try to support the forwards when I'm at my club as well -- only not as far advanced.

"But it's great to get some game time under my belt with Ireland."

Looks like James would have preferred to have played in a more CM role. Maybe just maybe Trap will give him that chance in the carling nations cup. But unlike Geysir (yes i know if he performed well - i thought he performed well though given the little amount of ball he saw) suggested I don't see him starting against Macedonia away.

    You do understand the conditional?
Geysir offered the opinion that McCarthy will have his auditions, that he would start in the away game against Macedonia, if he passes those auditions.

I could be wrong but I remember if he performs well. Thats my point, I thought what he did he did well. But I still don't see him starting against Macedonia, even if he does as well in the next 2 games.

It adds to the confusion when you do not make enough effort to express yourself properly. Have more respect for your opinions by expressing them more clearly.
When you quote me, then make an effort to represent the opinion with reasonable accuracy.

It was not at all a waste to play James in that game but from the perspective of the upcoming Macedonia game, there was little to be gained by playing James so far forward as compared to playing him more centrally. With his eyes closed, he can do what Green does. But out there against Uruguay we didn't see James trying to play a role that suits his strengths or a role that is likely to be a part of how the team will shape up against Macedonia.

Now I took that to mean if all goes i.e. james plays well.

I don't know how many ways you can change/adapt/reply with clouded flowery language but as far as I am concerned he played well the last day given what he had to do, which I think you also said on a previous thread. If he does the same the next 2 games, assuming he plays, i still don't see him starting the macedonia game.

I don't have time generally to quote or go back and find exactly what one says, as I work, and it keeps me busy, I give a quick reply and thats it from what i remember, paraphrasing rather than direct quotes.

I agree that it would have been nice to see James in a more central role, but I don't think we will see that in Macedonia either. Again I hope I am made to eat my words.

And I do also think that Trap now has the monkey off his back by saying "james is youngge, he will learn with confidence, but not ready yet" and this is his justification instead of moving him back into green or even faheys positions on 60 mins or before instead of taking him off. However I suppose that might be seen as favouritism in the squad, but if he really means building the team around him then surely he could have tried it?
