Yeah Billy Clarke. He's currently being played on the wing.

Garvan has had great write ups all over all the papers here, as has reid for charlton, the conservative telegraph going as far as to say the ever oustanding performer reid.

I think 2 of Charlton's goals this weekend were from Reid crosses and by all accounts his open play has been superb.

In a game that is increasingly dominated by taller, leaner and more athletic players Reid is a refreshing throwback to the days where speed of thought and awareness was the most valuable asset.

This time last year he was the talk of the town, getting rave reviews all over the place. He was being played in position as an outright forward. I think his fellow underage star Danny Haynes(?) is favoured in that role now, mainly coming from the bench.

Can't see him making it to the top as an out and out striker tbh as he's never been prolific but this switch to the wing could do him the world of good as he's got the natural attributes to be a very good winger (speed and pace). If he can adjust to this new position (and he seems to be doing well thus far) then he could be very useful in the future (let's be honest Ireland don't need another good young striker anyway, a winger would be much more preferable).

He needs to score more goals though even from out wide.

Goalscoring wide players at Ipswich who can play for Ireland? Look to the other side of the pitch!

Garvan is top of the assist stats in the championship (our players seem to be setting up quite a few goals this season ) with 7. Walters is 2nd with 6. Jay Tabb has 5 in the league and 2 in the cup. Yeates, Lawrence, Sheehan and Reid have 4.

Also, Richie Partridge is tops in league 2 with 6.

Christ that is a fall from grace. I remember when he was the year ahead of us in the DDSL, he was the only player spoken about amongst the managers. And we had Barrett and Andy Reid in our age group.

A lad I used to work with went to school with Partridge. According to him, after Richie signed for Liverpool he wasn't allowed play with any team, school, DDSL, not even a kick about on the street!
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook

I think that could be a bit of folklore, but not the truth

The way Garvan is playing you would think a premiership club will come in with an offer in January. However now that a backer is investing big money into Ipswich they will proably only sell if big moneyis offered. They must rue the day they sold Bent for 2.5 million.Talented central midfielders are a rare commodity so you would expect somebody to make a bid.

Considering his problems at the start of the season he would proably be better off staying at Ipswich particularly if they are strenghtening their side in January.Just suprised clubs like Sunderland,West ham or Spurs havent being linked with him.

They've just gone into administration I believe. On BBC website.

On the same day as Ipswich confirm a takeover and injection of capital.

George O'Callaghan? (although he's been told he can leave)
Michael Synnott is still there, but he's on trial at York City
