I think I'll hold on to my copy of the last version so!![]()
There's no if about about it. It's just a matter of how long it'll take for SI Games to get their finger out and solve them all.Originally posted by sadloserkid
slk urges you to keep an eye on CM4 as it is clearly a game that has the gaming world at it's feet.![]()
If the bugs get sorted it'll be the business! Big if there though.
It's only out for 6 weeks and there have been three patches with a fourth in the works along with CM 03/04 which'll arrive at the end of the year.
And stay out of Bumtown, ya no talent bum.

Do the downloads have to be unzipped with Winzip?
No.

Patch 2 is on the DVD version of PC Gamer (the one with half life two on the cover)
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
Help!!
Just dowloaded the CM4.05 patych and I can't install it, I get an error saying CM4 doesn't appear to be installed which it is...
What folder should I install the patch to??
What I did was I simply double clicked on the file, then CM's patch loader thing came up and that took care of the rest, so I don't know why it's saying CM isn't loaded on your PC Xlex

I'd recommend the newest version of Championship Manager Magazine for anybody out there. The mag itself isn't a bad read and you also get 40 odd pages from the official tactics guide and a cover disk containing the following (and more):
* CM4 Expansion Pack 3 - Corrects the bugs, updates the stats, contains two new leagues (Slovakia & Indonesia I think)
* Complete version of the original Championship Manager
* Demos for CM2 and CM3 (and CMQuiz)
* A selection of tactics and skins for CM4
* Some other stuff that I can't remember...
The ball is round and has many surprises.
Ya I got that, though CM 1 kept crashing my computer (Win xp).
SLK, did you notice with patch 3 that your players were getting injured for no apparant reason? Like getting a news item saying so and so will be out for a month with a broken foot three days after your last match? Bizzare, and ever so slightly annoying

Haven't gotten home to install it yet. Damn, I thought it would all be sorted now...![]()

It's nice to have the Munster Senior Cup included, but what's with the Stalinist exclusion of the LDV Vans Trophy in England? Now there's no virtual chance of Roddy Collins wearing his Louis Copeland on Sky.
Did you get the magazine off the web or is it in the shops?
I got it in Easons in Limerick Hitman.

Would the game run well on a Pentium 3 800mhz.
What RAM would you recommend?
would 256 be alright?

I'm running the Eircom League, English League and Italian League on my PC which is only 466Mhz with 128MB RAM. It takes 6/7 minutes to calculate the English Matches on a Saturday but other than that it's OK.
I'm sure you'll be grand provided you don't select too many leagues ( maybe bear in mind how many teams are in each League e.g. eL has only 22, English has 56 I think and Italian 48 ).
The game did warn me that I was over the limit in the number of leagues before I started so it will tell you if you choose too many leagues for your PC to handle.
It was in the last time I checked.Originally posted by Hitman

It's called "The Vans trophy"

I'm pretty sure it's there too!
The best thing about EP3 (I'm hoping) is that apparently they've corrected that little bug where your full back takes a throw in to your centre-half (generally Pat Scully for Limerick in my own case) who's neatly dispossesed by the opposition striker who then darts through on goal... used to drive me mental!![]()
So hopefully that's sorted though I won't know until next weekend sadly...![]()

that bug's fixed alright, annoyed the hell out of me too.
As far as specs go, I'm running it on a P2 1.5gHZ and it's fine, though I'm only running one league, as the delay was too much. Though it handled nine leagues fine, it was just the damn delay

Ruairi, you must be the only person in the world that has a P2 1.5MHZ. Did INTEL make it just for you![]()
