Kildysart have surely set a new record for been relegated with minus points?
Bit of a joke really.
they should be thrown out of league and banned from re-entering next yeara disgrace that the 2 walkovers they gave could result in one team winning league title & the other being saved from relegation dogfight its a long hard season for all teams involved and for other teams to suffer for kildysart giving walkovers it makes a mockery of the league

" football is a simple game "
What happens if Newtown do not enter the league next year?
Does another team get promoted or do they drop the number of teams to be relegated?
Barca 2 vs manchester 0
If that happened then Burren & Rineanna would get extra points (& newtown obviously) That would really change things at the bottom and drag a lot more teams down towards the relegation places.
There is also a rumour going round that Bridge Celtic could get points from Lifford game because of an illegal player issue. (is there any truth in this?? i heard it from several sources last wk)
If all of the above happened it would make the league a complete farce. It would mean Promotion/relegation could be decided by committee meetings rather than on the pitch.
If the story about bridge celtic being awarded the points from Lifford game is correctthat also means Newmarket could be crowned champions tomorrow night if they beat Bunratty and Avenue fail to beat Rineanna.
breaking news
avenue in their quest to get their own home ground has brought them close to gort off the bypass. in prem talks with gort to ground share and enter galway leagues to compete against mervue and salthill devon.
ps lifford wont have any points taken off them as theres one rule for some teams and a different for the elite. wink wink nudge nudge. did the ruling on other teamwho did the same take as long????????
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.
3 big games tomorrow night. Newtown versus the Burren with both teams desperate for the win. If newtown win it will put them level with Rineanna if they don't get anything off Avenue.
Avenue cant afford to drop any points in their last two games. Newmarket and Bunratty should be a close game. Newmarket going for the league but their neighbours are in a rich vein of form.
I can't see Bridge been awarded the points as Clifford said it's been a while since the alleged incident and nothing has come of it. 2 weeks left and 2 relegation places to be finalised, a lot of teams are 1win from safety.
the illegal player got one extra game ban FOR playing while suspended, so if thats the case and lifford dont get dropped points what tha point in playing if lifford get preferential treatment off the clare league all beacuse they are tied in with em with the leagur of ireland 21's its bullsh*t to be honest, they wont deduct points likethey should because they cant upset them for the above reason and want them to win the league
the 2 sent off vs avenue got 5 games between them
P W D L PTS
Newmarket Cel 15 11 3 1 36
Avenue Utd ....16 10 4 2 34
Lifford ... .......15 10 2 3 32
but,, if they drew the derby an lost to avenue then lifford could win the leauge
lots of ifs and buts,, possible
would newmarket object then if the table stood like this at the end.. ie avnue beat newmarket last game of season and hand lifford the title
Lifford ... .......18 13 2 3 41
Avenue Utd ....18 12 4 2 40
Newmarket Cel 18 12 4 40
How do ye see the league shaping up lads.Do ye see newmarket slipping up or lifford and avenue dropping points? very exciting times at the top of the league.on the other side it is also difficult to predict.Burren to go straight down with newtown in the playoff position.any other in agreement?
lads anyone know who won the team of the month for march and aprilRhine rovers again??
I hear Bunratty are playing there B team tomorrow with the semi final this Sunday and already been safe from relegation ?
It should be a handy one for Newmarket.
