avenue1 2 rats good open game of football, plenty of chances on both sides.
ref wasnt a great help to the game to be honest.. avenue could have maybe should have gotten a draw out of it but fair play to bunratty
as alex ferguson said yrs ago in referenceto leeds playing out of their skin against united with nothing to play for,
im sure bunratty will give the same commitment against newmarket as they did last nite, even though they are safe from relegation now

Have you seen the lg table? Bunratty still 3rd from bottom and only 1 point out of automatic relegation place. Lot of football to be played yet.

By the way lads I think we can assume Avenue1990 is nothing to do with Avenue. Its easy for him to come on here under that name and try ruffle a few feathers. We have seen it before and we will see it again. Chances are we wont hear from him today

Well done bunratty - beaten fair and square. If bunratty had got their game together earlier on they would easily be battling for the league.

Syl - im not on here to ruffle anyones feathers just to give an opinion like everyone else.Apologies to those who have been ruffled.

Fair enough Avenue1990... but its comments like the the above that do you no favours.

I think you will find the lads were fairly "up" for it last night.

Im sure they will AveunueC but don't forget about Lifford. They have won their last few games and seem to be hitting form at the right time.

Must win game for avenue on Sunday now. I don't thnk they can afford to lose to Lifford and still think about winning. If Avenue win it will be wide open again.

There are still 2 places in the relegation zone which are by no means sorted.
Looks like it will be an exciting 3-4 weeks ahead

Doe's anyone have an up to date Premier League Table
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

From That table anyone from Moher down could be relegated.
    Interesting few weeks ahead.
Burren and Rineanna are far from safe so I dont now why Avenuec thinks Bunratty are.
    Anyone have the remaining fixtures?

Looks like the League could depend on the Clare League decision re. Lifford playing (suspect) suspended player vs Bridge Celtic.

    PROTESTS

Rule 80: Protests must be forwarded to the Secretary and a copy of same to the club concerned by Registered Post, bearing postmark within 2 (two) days of the date on which the match has been played. The protesting club must state all facts in their protest and must produce, at the first investigation, all evidence they wish to tender in support of their case. In no circumstances will a club be allowed to withdraw a protest. To appeal any decision to the C.D.S.L. you must send a cheque for €30 with your appeal.

Unless Bridge Celtic have appealed within 2 days of the game, which they have not I believe, then nothing will come out of this.

Rule appears straight forward, however how do would any club know a player from the opponents is suspend for any particular match. Surely in a case such at this the Clare League should examine the match card from ref. This should be just a case of the Clare League enforcing a suspension.

IMO Lifford surely have to lose their 3 points from the Bridge Celtic game. The rules are there for all the clubs to see on the website, they're straight forward and clear on red cards and Lifford's next competive game after Tulla in the cup was Bridge Celtic so the player in question should have served his 1 game then no excuses. Therefore Lifford broke the rules that everyone else seems to have no problem with and should be by right deducted the points.
Whats the delay with the League's response on this tho?

well looking at that bridge celtic and rineanna look to be in trouble as all others will pick up almost guaranteed points against kildysart.
also burren with 4 away games could get into trouble.
however there will be big 6 pointer games. teams can rise up very quickly with wins especially against another relegation threatened team....
still lots to play for. no doubt all games will be very competitive until the last ball is kicked

From this i think Burren are dead certs to be relegated but the play-off position is tough to call.rineanna or bridge celtic for me.

Any predictions for tomoro. reckon home win for newtown, bunratty to win away, a draw down in bridge celtic and a win for lifford.crucial times at the top and bottom. interesting the way no team can say whether their season is over whether it be winning the league or getting relegated

have to say that ive never in my life seen a worse referee than the one in charge of a massive league derby this mornin between Lifford and Avenue. He had an absolute howler, no joke. ive seen him ref 2 other games this year too and he has failed to control either game or get many easy/common sense decisions correct. today regardless who fouled who(even tho it was as clear as day) he'd giv the free to the team who roared the loudest for it. he sent off an avenue lad after bout 25 mins which he had right to but he was annoying all the players and management so much with his dreadful reffin. 2 lifford players were sent off in last 10 for mouthin. but in all seriousness this ref ruined the game. lifford keeper had a taibi-like howler for the goal.

Newtowns current lg position wont bother them so if they wont be playing in Clare next year.

What a shame if its true. Newtown will be a huge loss to the Clare lg.
