To be honest a better side would have punished Newtown.
a bit harsh to blame bunny for newtowns panicking.. they gave the ball away to much and in fairness bunny did not waste to many passes but a few other players beside him & behind him went missing newtown lost their shape completly but still should have won it handy cheeky should have scored at least one of the great croses put in by johnny okura

Old git, Im not blaming Bunny for what went on, Im saying it was a strange decision by the management putting him in there, he is simply not fit enough for it, Newtown struggled with him in there.

not blaming bunny.. yet they struggled with him in there ???
bunny should be playing with b team every week to help him get fit at least he would be getting full games and not brought on for last 30 mins ..
also players beside him did not help and defence was terrible for a while so it was not all bunnys fault ..

I was looking at results since the start of the season and noticed that Newmarket have 3 games played, all of them at home.Their next fixture is a home game aswell

Will this turn into a battle for them to get players available to play 4 away games at the end of the season.

Also, I know they have a new pitch and all but this can't be good for it, they have a B-Team and under age teams aswell who would use it aswell.

If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

Newmarket have played 2 games so far. The beat Lifford 2-0 at home and drew 2-2 with Rineanna away.

They are however home to Bridge Celtic on Thurs night and home to Avenue next Sunday.

The game against rineanna was played in newmarket.Rineanna's pitch was unplayable so newmarket agreed to play at home.

I stand corrected... I did notice last week that you could bale hay out in Rineanna's pitch.

Hacker , don't be delluding yourself, the pitch in Rineanna hasn't changed in I don't know how many years. Be careful that you don't become the Clare Leagues Dave Bassett and have the unenivable knack of having clubs relegated.

Were Rineanna not informed when the league was starting or were the cattle gone to mart.

    I see...

Still undefeated after a trip to the champions and a trip to the village is a decent start...although I hear Newmarket got a very late equaliser last Sunday so ye might be dissapointed that yere 2 points is not 4.

ahem, First..... Was there not another team last season looking for matches to be played at other venues? Along with the pre-season (06-07) Holly tournament? Plus some youth games????

Yes and it was appreciated , but wasn't there a very good reason.
As Hacker has alluded to is that the switch happened last week was for tactical reasons.

    Gamesmanship is different.

ah it was more down to the late harvest this summer, than tactical reasons really

I drove past Rineanna pitch the other day aswell and it was poor. Whats the story, is it closed or something? The league is a few weeks old and that field is in terrible knick. Why was it let get like that in the first place. Does it not get cut during the summer. Just can't understand why it wasn't ready for the start of the season after all it is where the games are played

Maybe there is a good reason for it being the way it is,but if not its incredable

handiest way to get there is drive out past the entrance to Lee's Road. U pass Drumcliff cemetery and Cassidy park is about 200yards after on the right... as the fella says ' ya can't miss it'

Did you walk the pitch or did it just look in terrible nick as you were driving past? What exactly was wrong with it? The pitch is about 100 metres from the road
