    Granville Appeal

Was told last night that Granvilles appeal v Corbally was actually down to the fact that a certain Corbally player was playing against them, when he should have been serving a ban, as he was sent off in his previous game.

I also heard that a Corbally player reckons that Granville have a great chance of getting the 3pts......

Any Corbally players on here like to fill us in?

Yeah, we need a minimum of 10pts from our last 5 games to have any chance.

was told during the week that the appeal is on tonight.so i suppose it will all be out in the open tommorrow.i was at the corbally v aisling game afew weeks back and darren hanley got sent off.didnt see him playing the following sunday against fairview so that would explain the automatic ban.sure after that all you can do is play away until the council call you up and decide if they are going to ban you for longer?i thought they were always the rules abbeyvale?ive seen that happen to many players before that it could take 2 or 3 weeks to get seen by the council, depending on when the ref sends in his report?as long as ive been watching football thats the way things it always has been,(get a red, miss next game and play away until your called to see the council)

From a neutral point of view and with all the different allegations going around that i have heard i think if anything other than this appeal getting thrown out is the result then it is a disgrace.

agreed but ithink ye will go down but if ye got nolly collcpy back for rest of season that would sort yer goalkeeping crisis but also think ye have the best side out the bottom 3/4 but that counts for nothing when you havent got the fitness and effort

Relegation could come down to what kind of teams are fielded by sides wit little to play for, for example if u happen to play aisling midweek they have players who work in dublin, and are therefore unavailable midweek who might be available for a weekend game. Also are players who play for the likes of wembley or regional who work evenings gonna take time off work to play?unlikely, but these guys could be there at the weekend
relegation can also be sorted by so called favours as to can the top but thats life and maybe something for the junior council to look into/ like for instance top 4 finishers in league go into knock out rounds of fai/it would make league better and sort a lot of the favours out

Of course we will play all our remaining fixtures, we're not tight when it comes to spending a few bob and our players at least have some pride in themselves and enjoy playing.

    P.S
    We're not down yet bud

I agree with your first comments, but I'm just telling you what I heard,
It may be different grounds that Granville have an appeal, but knowing the LDMC they'll wait until the season is over to make a decision hoping that it wont effect the table and it would be alot easier on them (ie if Granville are relegated by more than 3 pts and Corbally are safe by more than 3 pts)....

Again I agree, we have some decent players but there is a lack of committment at the moment that our manager is working hard on.
As regards Ger Collopy, he just has no interest, full stop.
He has been asked many times to come back and help us out, but to no avail.
We have a steady and reliable keeper in goals now, and we'll just see how we get on over the next 5 games, which will decide our faith.
