summerville centre forward is known for it he done the same against us last year out in mungret, and went on to score and get them a point. When if he
had been sent off we would have got the 3 points
Game was over once Wembley went 3 0 up. They impressed me last night, very good going forward and scored 2 fantastic goals. Summerville were very slow at the back, they will be in trouble against any small quick forward. They used the long throw a lot, when that didn't work they used the long throw again. They really did not have much else. Most efforts on goal came from Shine at center half..... from long throws
The tackle that left Ian Maher in trouble was more mistimed than over the top. The same cant be said for the Summerville centre forward. It was a 3 0 down and pi**ed off tackle, over the top and should have been a straight red. Yet, Tony Magher gave him a yellow. (your allowed 2 with Tony). Its tackles like this that lead to games getting out of hand (and if this was close it would have). Whatever about offsides etc, this is where refs need to be strong. Apart from that, he actually had a good game.

U are talking about 2 different people there merryman!!!
Todays scores anyone??
Pike beat the view 5-1 and that tells you all you need to know about a very one sided match. Fairview had a very young and inexperienced team out and no doubt the experience will stand to them in the long run .... there was a time I thought we'd never put five past the view but that just goes to show the way things can turn, it wasn't that long ago we lost 7-1 to them.

carew park 5 star rovers 0
it may sound strange but this wasn,t our best performance so far this season out of the 3 we played this was our worst. carew were one up at half time the standard of refs in this town is very poor at the moment i think they have gotten worse this season. yesterday we had a ref that clearly had no idea of the offside rule was calling offside when players were YARDS onside.
but over all another 3 points on the board to safety it finished 5 in fairness it should of been 10 im sure morton would agree with that even with the ref blowing up with 15/ 20mins to go the star bench asked for that which is fair enough
Aisling 2 Wembley 1
We give the refs enough stick so I think its only fair to comments on what I thought was an excellent performance by the ref yesterday. Not sure of his name (Polish?)but he said it was his first premier game.
There were a few strange free kicks given alright but I reckon he got 95% of the off sides correct?
well i agree he wasn't the worse ref in town, but nothing special either.
i suppose if you compare his performance to other refs around he is probably one of the better ones but that said his performance wasn't the greatest.
anyway enough about the refs as it is a thankless job. i think a draw would have been a fair result, seeing as we did pick up our performance in the second half.
although he could have had the match all over at half time
Another trashing for Summerville yesterday! Any truth in Darren O'Sullivan going to fairview, apparently he's not on speaking terms with the summerville management and hasn't started all season.![]()
has anyone else heard that the LDMC has fixed games for Saturday evening next?
Fixing games the day before the all ireland final is a bit much especially as many players will be travelling to Dublin on the Saturday, I was wondering why they fixed the midweek games this week to Wednesday, now I know
Wouldn't Friday night suit better???
have to disagree with you there super hero - its a big game alright and a good occasion but its a different sport. I think switching the matches to Saturday (if true) is more than enough, you cant afford to lose a weekend as between weather and unplayable pitches during the year May usually ends up being a very busy time with clubs having to 4 or 5 matches in a fortnight which is crazy. .... anyway can you imagine the GAA rescheduling matches for any other codes benefit
I agree with you that I don't think the GAA would change their fixtures to benefit other codes but perhaps in this instance the LDMC could be the one to break the mould of the old stereotype, GAA v Soccer
It's our home county playing, is local soccer cancelled in Kilkenny this weekend or moved around to accommodate the hurling??? I would guess that it is
lads does anyone know what the story is with corbally i really fancied them to have a cracking season they still could but they are after having a very poor start to the season any reasons behind it. missing players etc etc ???
is pa mul still the manager out there??
Was at the Regional v Corbally game at least for an hour or so, Regional were the better team, Corbally seem to be lacking a threat up front also not great at the back.
Maybe it was how they approached that particular game but besides the odd corner in the first half or long throw they created nothing from play.
we played Corbally last thursday evening and they were very lively upfront?
