I think the following are good enough for Prem
Ger Collopy, Peter Clarke, Darren Walsh, John Barry, Darren Naughton, Paddy Ryder,
And if they were interested John Collopy, Derek O'Neill, Derek Hogan, Derek McNamara, Paul Lyons,
Fair enough, who are they all playing with? John barry is with the boro now isnt he?I think the following are good enough for Prem
Ger Collopy, Peter Clarke, Darren Walsh, John Barry, Darren Naughton, Paddy Ryder,
Any truth in the rumour that boro are taking half of Corbally's team for next year? Again
Ger Collopy (Star, no interest) Peter Clarke (Up in Dublin) , Darren Walsh (Dines, out injured), John Barry (Boro, out injured), Darren Naughton (Fairview, out injured all season), Paddy Ryder (No Interest)
Haven't heard anything about the Corbally situation, but I'd say a lot will depend on whether they can stay up or not.......
Never understood why Corbally havnt been more succesful. Great faciliteis up there and they have had alot of good players in the past too.
You're right. I've heard the Boro pay much higher wages. Ill have to ask Alan Carroll and the lads.there wages are crap
Was this the first time that the Premier has been all city teams?
Not looking forward to travelling out to the bog next season.
john barry(alan's brother) playing for boro...
naughton signed for view...Dont know where he's gone to... decent player...
ya sorry i know john, i meant the last 2 names there
Kilmallock have a decent set up, better than alot of clubs in Limerick.
exactly,i don't care where they are fron either but the fact is the teams you mentioned i'm sure worked damn hard to get to premier football and as with a lot of teams that go up found the going a bit too tough and like a lot of clubs in the city the players got sick of being beaten every week so pack it in,you see the list that abbeyvale provided of who left, its just lucky they signed enough at the start of the season, other teams might not have that luxury, charleville were premier for a long time before they went down a few years back, herbertstown were never good enough for premier
gone are the days where the city teams would find the country teams a handy six points. the country teams are getting the better facilitys and the players are quite good too .
What ever teams come up deserve to come up and what ever teams get relegated deserved to be relegated.
I think the problem lies in the fact that there is a big difference between the two leagues.
Both leagues could be made alot more competitive if the seasons were shortened?
That or heavily invest in improving pitches
