Are you associated with any club, because since you've come on here for the last few weeks all you seem to do is knock everyone. If teams in lower divisions were that good they would be in 1A. Your logic tells an awful lot about you.

I just think Mungret could have done better. Teams in the lower leagues are where they belong. I am involved with a club, but would rather not say who. If my opinons upset you I suggest you take up something less stressful. Try gardening.

Mungret were awful on the day. A lot of that is down to the fact that Pike didn't let them play, but in fairness Pike were awesome and absolutely clinical with their finishing. A Pike supporter told me after the game that it was the best he had seen them play since hammering Balla in the MJC final last year. As for Mungret, I think we are doing extremely well considering the players we have lost to the top Premier clubs in the last few years. Other clubs like Abbey who were in our position a few years ago are not doing as well as we are now. Anytime we produce a player that shows any kind of promise or potential we seem to lose him. I'd appreciate next time if you would take these facts into consideration before knocking us.

I offer my apology. You are obviously a passionate Mungret man. Good to see. And Pike were good on the day. Will you beat Dromore?

In regard to losing players, it happens every club. Ask Granville. They lose promising school boys to Fairview by the month. Players get blinded by the compliments and promise of better things. Unfortunate, but it's the way its always been.

    I predict a draw.

Mungret v dromore will be massive for both clubs in the race for promotion. I predict a home win for mungret.
was talking to one of the balla players this morning in work he said their manager is looking to get it switched to lit as there's no way bateman will be playable this weekend as there was lots of surface water on it sunday morning and they are badly in need of games as they haven't played since dec 2nd

I reckon the mungret dromore match will probably shape the rest of the season for both sides. Its nearly as important to stop the others gettin the points on the board as to get them themselves. Whichever team looses i reckon will need to win every other game to get promoted. Balla and killmallock have simply got too many games in hand for one of these teams to slip up. Both teams in good form recently besides their meetings with pike. Should be a great match. Hopefully balla will be able to play sunday! It must be a record at this stage!

I have sympathy for Mungret over the match on sunday,
I've been with the lower division team playing the top premier teams a few times in recent years and when you play them you don't get away with some of the mistakes you make in your own league.
Judging from the report mungret went down 2 early goals and against any team its a struggle to come back from that. They seem to have created some chances and fair play to them for that.I wouldn't be judging them on that one performance either i'd prefer to judge them on their league form which has been very good, having said that I hope the result against pike puts them on a losing streak

ya badly need a game, lit is a great pitch but the few times I've played there there has been a gale force wind which doesn't help any team

Weather may clear in time for a few games to go ahead. Only answer seems to be Summer soccer like Eircom League. Would sort out fixture cancellations for sure.

    Thumbs up

People are getting carried away about mungret's performance last sunday. do they not realise pike are a very good team who beat teams like fairwiew 5-0 already this season. It was a poor performance theres no getting away from that. Saying that there is a huge gulf between Prem and 1A.

I see Noel Mooney in goals for cappamore on sunday a big addition to cappamore if they had signed him earlier, cappamore may be further up the table.A few big games at the top this weekend mungret and dramore will no doubt have learned lessons from lawson cup games with pike.I think both teams have won there last 5 league games so cup games are irelevant .as regards balla and kilmallock if they don't start playing league games soon ,all other teams will be disbanded for the summer and they'll be playing off the league in june.

If last summer's weather is anything to go by, it wont really make much of a difference.

If balla don't start playing their league games, the 1a league will end up a farse, because the relegation teams will be sorted come may. if Balla have to play their games in june, they'll get walkovers because no team will have any interest in turning up on a sunday morning to play balla because they will have nothing to play for. Balla will get promoted because of this. I hope fore the sake of the other 4 teams in contention for the promotion spots it doesn't come to this.

Im sure the Balla lads dont want that either. They havent played since the first week in December. Im sure they would prefer to be playing then having all these games pile up.

I was talking to one of their players and he said they werent put down for fixtures if their A team were playing in the munster senior, munster junior or FAI. But none of the B team were called up to the A team for these games so he couldnt understand why they couldnt play their own games.

that in particular is a joke,a few lads have got a call up only to stand on the sidelines for the whole game,we also were not entered into the mjc and they entered the c team instead!! yet they only used one of our players in a couple of there games.
Nobody from the b team has a problem with the a team doing so well but getting our matches cancelled to have lads available to be called up is b******t.
