I agree with Ballsy this should be cleared up as soon as possible. Maybe the LDMC are waiting until the end of the season to decide as the decision might not have to be made if balla dont finish in the top 2. There is a long way to go yet.

I dont think they will be allowed if they do come in the top two. I belive there is a rule not allowing a clubs A and B teams from being in the same league. The Fairview B and C teams were in 1B a few seasons ago alright but that was demmed ok because the rules do not allow C players play with the B team. C players can play for the As, B players an play for the As but C player can not play for the B team as far as I know.

Wrong!
There is a rule in the LDMC rule book that if a team finishes in the top two they get promoted. This was voted in a few years ago when Geraldines B were dominating Div 1A and were remaining there the next season.

as far as i know the A team were relegated the same year, the team's should have swapped leagues but the club swapped the teams so the A players stayed in the premier and the B players stayed in 1A......

I suppose we will just have to see how balla progress through out the rest of the season..Long way to go yet and its pretty tight at the top...All these arguments could be for nothing but its going to happen at some stage and i think the ldmc should be ready for it and have a ruling made on it to prevent complecations in the future????

Im not just talking about Prem and Div 1A, there should be a vote at the start of each season for all divisions that it MIGHT affect.

Balla may or may not finish in the top two, but dont you think they should know IF its possible to get promoted before they start their season rather than going through the season thinking they might get promoted only then for the LDMC to tell them NO at the end of a long hard season....

Ya I know what your saying there, it would be good if they knew at the beginning of the season.

But the lads from balla I was talking to thought they couldnt go up at the beginning. They never thought they could get promotion until the last week when all these rumours started. So as far as they were concerned when the season started they never thought they could get promoted.

No rain forecast for weekend and this week aint been too bad so no excuse for games to be called off unless you can't play in the wind

Must be awful for those playing in the morning games, whilst us gimps have to miss both the Munster and Liverpool v Man U game and most of the Arsenal v Chelsea game

Crowds will be seriously affected for the Pike V Portmarnock game except for die hard supporters. Neutral supporters like myself will either be in Thomand Park, the pub or on the couch with our own ham sandwich and oxtail soup flicking between channels!
