Caherdavin definately to go down along with shannon i think...Think kilmallock will win the league with balla in second...Doubt they can go up though..They can appeal it to the council but i think they had this one out before
Have seen all the top teams in the division now and think it will be Kilmallock and Balla as top 2. Haven't heard anything on the rumour that Balla could go up.
Whatever about the quality of the league it's exciting this year at the top and bottom. Anyone can beat anyone and all teams still have something to play for.
Any predictions on relegation?

Can anyone confirm for definite exactly what happnes if Balla "B" finish in the top two spots in Division 1A this season.??
(Providing Balla "B" cant get promoted, which I dont think they can).
Does the team finishing 3rd in Division 1A automatically get promoted?
Or
Does the team finishing 3rd in Division 1A go into a play off game versus the team that finished 2nd last in the Prem League?
Ya the rule in all divisions is that if you finish in the bottom two you're relegated regardless of what happens with teams pulling out or a situation like Balla's. Remember all the hassle when Hill Celtic were relegated and Herbertstown were the third team from 1A promoted.
Didn't something similar happen a few years ago when Park asked to be dropped down from the Premier. The LDMC promoted Herbertstown who had finished 3rd in Division 1A instead of leaving Hill Celtic in the premier, who had finished 2nd last. Hill Celtics protest, which played havoc with fixtures in the Prmier and 1A was rejected. I think if Balla "B" do finish in the top 2 that they will appeal to go up on the basis that in recent years in lower divisions that some clubs ie. Fairview and Mungret have had 2 teams in one league.

I remember that. Fairview had 2 teams in a league and Corballys B and C teams were in the same league for a while also.
But I also remember a few years back, a good few years, when Geraldines were in the premier and their B team won 1A and they were refused promotion on the basis that you could only have 1 team per league.
[QUOTE=gaidin;833518]I personally think its a joke to be honest..if a team finishs in 1st or 2nd in the league then they are good enough and deserve to be promoted..I remember when fairview had 2 teams in 1a a few years back and they got the both fixtures out of the way early so as to not cause any hassle with points later on in the season..This should be the case with balla(should they finish in top 2).It shouldn't matter if 2 teams are in 1a or premier if u ask me!!
if you get promoted you should go up, simple as that,if balla happen to go up, which by the way is way to early to presume in a tight league, imo the should be promoted!!obviously some new rules would have to be set, like maybe the a and b team playin as independant sides, eg.. no b players could play league or domestic cup football for the a team, however could be available in national competions, ie fai!it'd work for sure, as for a b team rolling over to give their a team six points a season i couldnt see it, not in premier anyway, balla b have a good side, have always had, they had jamie o sullivan and brock to mention a few playing for them, last season, they would give most premier sides a serious game.
Could be, easily.
Take Kilmallock and Dromore for example, just promoted from 1B, doing better so far than the relegated premier sides Herbertstown & Charleville (not to metion all the 1a sides!)
I'm sure you can think of plenty more examples.
Some teams change considerably from one season to the next.

Last time I checked the league table Herbertstown were doing better than more than half the teams in 1A.![]()
Well MV - are Mungret going to add a couple of heavyweight signings when the Xmas Transfer Window opens??
I agree that during the close season that a team will get signings and become stronger for the start of a new season,
What I meant was,
If the 2nd last team in the Prem had a play off game versus the 3rd placed team in Div 1A, at the end of a season to decide who stays or goes up to the Prem, then surely the Prem team would be the stronger??
you would definitely expect them to be stronger than the 3rd best team in 1A, when teams get relegated it is automatically assumed that the teams that replace them in the league are better than them
imo that is never the case it just means that the team that has been relegated from the higher division have played a better quality of team throughout the season than the team from the lower division has.
as for relegation from 1a going on what I have seen so far I would have to say Caherdavin(unfortunately) and bruff.but to be honest both ends of the table are wide open
Well is there any way of clearing up this Balla B fiasco.its a bit of a balls goin through the season with this in doubt..although there's still alot of football to play, this must be cleared up sooner rather than later!
