Heard Darren Walsh broke his ankle while playing for the Dines and even though injured Paul Dillon is set to leave them.

These two players are the only current Dines players with any real bit of experience of Junior football as they lost most of last years squad, and I think they will struggle big time now unless they sign some players asap.

We threw it away altogether ! Gave away a soft goal in the first 15 mins and then we missed so many chances we could have finished the league off with the amount we had.
2 big key players that would have put the ball in the net no problem were missing on the night O'Connor and Skinner. I can remember Cappamore having only 3 shots on target in the complete game. Oh well I hope we don't fall with 1 bad result.

Cappamore had plenty of chances in the first half and should of been at least 2 if not 3 up at half time. Second half was all Hill, plenty of chances but couldn't even hit the target never mind work the keeper. Noted that Cappamore had a bare 11 with Hill having about 16 to 17. Think the fresh legs introduced in second half made a difference. Any other results?

Any other results from last night. I had a look at the table on the LDMC website. If its right that puts balla joint top with Kilmallock depending on the other results of course from last night.

League must be poor this year with the two promoted teams Kilmallock and Dromore doing so well. Doesn't say much for the standard in 1A.

Not sure about that, think the league is pretty even. No outstanding team just a lot of very average teams. Could be any 2 of the following to drop down Caherdavin, Mungret, Cappamore, Geraldines, Herbertstown, Bruff, Balla B(Even with the good start) and Charleville.

I hear that line trotted out so many times for so many leagues .... but for once I would agree.

Bruff are not as strong as last year, having lost 4 key players.
Dont know whats going on with Mungret, Geraldines and Caherdavin, I expected them to be getting results from the start.

Its not unusual to sometimes see the newly promoted teams do well (e.g Bruff topped the division for the first half of last season) but I'd be surprised if it lasts.

ya league is worse i've seen since i started playin 1a,not one team has stood out as bein any good, every team will drop points as the season goes on.
It'll be interesting to see the results from sunday on now that the sunday morning matches are back!!!

it could make for a very interesting season if there's no clear favourites running away with it...
