coonagh doin well again.. shame they wasted last year wit dressin room unrest.. with the inconsistency of 1a at the mo, themselves and park would be no question in the top four or five in that division and with a chance to go back to premier... played coonagh earlier in lawson and i tought they were good.. very big physical team, bit light in front of goals tho.

Coonagh should not have been relegated by all accounts! Someone told me Cappamore pulled out of the league with 4/5 games to go which when I was playing meant you dropped a division? Don't know whether thats true or not???

There was a lot of talk that Cappamore were going to drop out but it never actually happened

The last two rounds of games were never played because the promotion and relegation was already decided by then.

Thats probably a more realistic/logical explaination!!

Yeah Cappamore never pulled out in the end. A lot of prayers were said but never answered.

It came down to the last game of the season against Balla. Coonagh needed a draw. Balla needed a win. Balla won 2-1.
    18 times, and that's a fact.

Obviously I am not very educated but that puts that idea to bed.

If you saw the goal that won it you would be thinking that alright. Keeper kicks out the ball...full back smacks it first time from near the half way and the balls sails back over the keeper. Ouch!

To be honest we played brutal in the second half against them. Leading 2-1 at the break and playing well we then pressed the self destruct button and handed them 3 goals on a plate. Pip Moloney got all 4 for them. Hes an excellent finisher and good all round player. Never stops working. Apart from that they were fairly solid at the back...didnt play a whole lot of football...think they know their strength is Pip so try to get it forward at earliest opportunity. And like every team from outside the city, they give 100% for the whole 90 minutes.

So a deep defence would have a chance? Lucky Park have a good shot stopper and a bruiser at centre half. But if he is that good he wouldn be in 1B. Where did you play them?

He is that good. He's playing with Croom cos thats where he's from. Played with Bruff in the last two seasons, in 1B then in 1A, but he could easily play for a premier team if he wanted. As well as having an eye for goal, he has excellent ball control and is particlarly adept at working his way out of a tight spot with two or three defenders snapping at his ankles, he's also great in the air despite his height. Super player

We should try get him over to Premiership in England by the sounds of it.. You make Croom sound like a one man band.

Have any of you set up a fan club yet? If not I suggest you get started seems like you would have alot of members. To my knowledge and I could be wrong, Park have 6 players who played in the premier in Limerick and 8 players who came from Clare's premier and one winger who I predict will go on to become one of the best in town. L37 U-21s should have a look! Bring him on!! Ill put a tenner on Park to shut him out.
