Well St.Pat's need a win and its possible they could beat Croom.Croom have a few games in hand over alot of the other teams.they could go into the game thinking it wont be too bad if we lose cos we've have a few more games more than others. If St.Pat's have a full team they could get a result.Prospect and Shels looks like a draw.Yer selves against Park will be a tough one.its hard to call that one.If ye have a full team ye could catch team.
I can see the top teams slipping up this weekend.
So defeats for Croom, and Park, draw for Shels and Prospect?? Good results for Fairview those!!. If we have a full side we will give Park trouble. No doubt there. I know St. Pats are sticky but Croom should still nick it I reckon but you make a good point. Croom's away form is rocky..
A couple of doubious forecasts there guys i think wins for Croom, Shels, Park. We played Park last sunday and we had a horrid first half eventhough we took the lead after 10 mins we went in 4-1 down it wasnt that Park were very good it was that we were rubbish. better second half pressing all the time and stopped Park from playing the good football that they can play. We missed a penalty and a couple of chances which meant we could have won the game but unfortunatly not. At the final whistle you could see what it meant to all the Park team......they are good but beatable
are we going back to evening games already?
I feel i need to answer this quote. The Knockainey managment rang the famous P Cussack on Saturday to call off the game due to the pitch being unplayable but they were told that the ref and the other team had to travel on Sunday morning and the ref was the only person who could call off the game and this was the rule from now on or until further notice. So we were there with a full squad, Shels arrived and the ref called the game off. yes ye did walk the pitch but only the right wing and not the middle or the left wing which was water logged, both goal mouth were water logged so i can not see why you would be complaining, if the game did go ahead the field would be unplayable for several weeks because of it. Now the rule has been changed again so all home teams can call between 12-2 to call off games due to pitch conditions. I agree it was mad for you to travel to Knockainey and Croom the following week due to the LDL thinking they are the FAI

Knockmad when down to watch that game sunday morning and have to disagree with you, park ripped ye apart with 4 goals cutting your defence each time, they were more up for it especially 1st half,2 nd half id agree with you ye had your chances to get back into the game but couldnt take them, saying this park were poor in da 2nd half.![]()
Sure it was a grand ole team to play for....Sure it was a grand ole team to know..
Hail Hail!!
Yes indeed, with the clocks going forward Sat night the evening games return next week. As for Park, well they are a footballing side in this division, no doubt, they do try to play the right way. I just think that if we get about them early, mix it up and try and break up their game, we can unsettle them and get a result. We managed it for 40 minutes out there early in the season, but a shocker by our stand in keeper let them go one up. After that we had to try and force it and they pulled away. But we can take hope from our performance against Prospect. I'd take a point from the Park game, but we will try to get all 3.

Park can play ball alright but as we all know the weather can be the decider as well. The good football teams dont seem to be able to cope with the slippy surface with the wind and rain.Looking at the weather at the moment it could be one of those games Sunday
I think its ridiculous as well,All it took is one phone call and still the LDMC said it couldnt be called off.Changes will have to be made alright. It's not fair on the travelling teams.
But i can see where the LDMC are coming from.Through the years teams were getting games called off because of the unplayable field but infact it was because they either didnt have a full team or were missing key players. It should be left to the ref but the travelling should wait on the ref's decising before leaving to play the game even if it was a late kick off.
I think everyone kind of knows that's happening. It's so handy just to call off the game if your the home team. I don't think the travelling team staying at home until the ref called would work.
The Clare league have the right idea blanket calling off matches. I know you might say that's farcical also but at least it takes it out of the clubs hands.

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.” Bill Shankly
We did kind of cut you to bits when we attacked against the wind in the first half in particular down the left. Where all four goals came from.
However to your credit you did put on pressure after the break. But I felt we were comfortable. We could of had two penalties also.
It meant an awful lot to us getting the win. After the Coonagh game some of the things being said were way over the top. It was an awful performance but as we all said it was coming. It was hopefully the kick up the arse we needed.
